Here is my entry for @psos  A-Z music challenge, today i'm on bands or songs starting with the letter U.

It's been a long day so i'm gonna keep it brief tonight, as a kid of the seventies punk was a big part of my life and this band from Londonderry northern island the Undertones made it big with their first release a EP that was heavily promoted by BBC radio DJ John Peel, the lead track from that EP was "Teenage kicks" Peel later in life said it was his all time favorite song so here it is.

Here's another from them "My perfect cousin".

Next up a artist that has collaborated with some massive names over the years, the list is massive Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Ian Brown, Mark Hollis, Badly Drawn Boy, Mike D (Beastie Boys), Richard Ashcroft (The Verve), The Duke Spirit, Oasis, Gavin Clark, Ian Astbury, Massive Attack, The Stone Roses, Alice Temple, Kool G Rap, Mani, Thom Yorke (Radiohead),  Mike Shinoda, Linkin Park, Elliott Power, Mark Lanegan, Nick cave....and so on

The band has had numerous lineups the only constant is founder DJ James Lavelle, their first album coming from the second incarnation saw Lavelle working with DJ Shadow, the out come was the stunning Psyence Fiction.

Lavelle continued in that vein and always brought in major artist for all his 7 albums to date , he has performed live many times with the Reading festival audio visual performance in my opinion one of the best iv'e seen. From Psyence Fiction this is U.N.C.L.E feat Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Rabbit in your headlights. Crazy video!

And "lonely soul" feat Richard Ashcroft (The Verve)

That's your lot see you all tomorrow!
