What Was the Experience Like Learning Your First Programming Language? 🤔👨🏾‍💻

Hey everyone! Hope all is well. Just a quick update to let you guys know that I’m still on the quest to completing my first Data Analysis certification and I’m getting close to being done. I have 2 more sections left!

LETS GO!!!

So this next part is about to be interesting. I’m going to be working with my first programming language R.

I really don’t know what to expect. The only things I’ve ever used that may resemble what you think of as a programming language are Markdown for making blog posts and the SQL we did earlier as a part of this course.

I feel like R may be difficult to get my head around some of the concepts because it’s new. Similar to how it was with learning SQL. But I also think R will be totally learnable if I keep getting into my practice as much as I can.

But outside of learning a cool new skill, I really don’t want to let this be the reason I don’t complete the certification. After this course, I get to complete a capstone project, which I’m actually interested in seeing how that process works. Then I’ll be finished and free to mess around in some databases.

I have no idea how it works, but I found a website for HiveSQL! I definitely plan on getting on there after the capstone project and using some Hive data to practice SQL. Should be a good place for me to learn.

But first things first…

If you’re currently learning a new language or any other technical skill please share in the comments!
