A Beautiful Evening with My Childhood Friends / Çocukluk Arkadaşlarımla Güzel Bir Akşam

Sometimes people want to go back to their childhood years and remember and commemorate those moments. It is almost impossible to forget the beautiful moments of childhood. A few days ago, we wanted to meet with my childhood friends living in Karaman and reminisce about the past days. We chose the workshop of a shopkeeper friend for the place where we would meet. My shopkeeper friend told me that there were barbecue sets, hookahs, etc. materials in the workshop.

İnsan bazen çocukluk yıllarına inip o anları hatırlamak, anmak ister. Çocukluk yıllarındaki güzel anları unutmak neredeyse mümkün değildir. Birkaç gün önce Karaman'da yaşayan çocukluk arkadaşlarımla buluşup, geçmiş günleri anmak istedik. Buluşacağımız mekan için ise esnaf arkadaşın atölyesini belirledik. Esnaf arkadaşım atölyede mangal takımı, nargile vs. malzemelerin olduğunu söyledi.

Together with my other friends, we bought barbecue chicken and other ingredients from the butcher and headed towards the workshop. The shopkeeper friend had lit the stove inside the workshop, thus creating a cozy atmosphere inside. After a short chat, we completed the preparations and started cooking the chicken. At the same time, we were still chatting.

Diğer arkadaşlarımla birlikte kasaptan mangallık tavuk ve diğer malzemeleri alıp atölyeye doğru hareket ettik. Esnaf arkadaş atölyenin içindeki sobayı yakmış böylece içerde samimi bir atmosferin oluşmasını sağlamış. Kısa bir sohbetin ardından hazırlıkları tamamlayıp tavukları pişirmeye başladık. Aynı zamanda sohbet etmeye de devam ediyorduk.

While the chickens were still cooking, I made a nice salad. After everything was ready, we sat down at the table and ate. After dinner, we drank our tea. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I really love tea brewed over the stove. While we were drinking our tea, the conversation turned to the memories we had in our childhood. Everyone took turns telling their memories that they could not forget and that stayed in their minds. We had already lived many of these memories together, so everyone was listening attentively.
The conversations were going on so well that I even forgot to take a proper photo.

Tavuklar pişmeye devam ederken ben de güzel bir salata yaptım. Her şey hazır olduktan sonra sofraya oturduk ve karnımızı doyurduk. Yemeğin üzerine çaylarımızı içtik. Daha önce söyledim birkez daha söylüyorum sobanın üzerinde demlenen çaya gerçekten bayılıyorum. Çaylarımızı içerken muhabbet çocukluk yıllarında yaşamış olduğumuz anılara geldi. Sırayla herkes unutamadığı, aklında kalan anılarını anlatıyordu. Zaten bu anıların birçoğunu birlikte yaşadık. Dolayısıyla herkes anlatılanları pür dikkat dinliyordu.
Muhabbetler öyle güzel devam ediyordu ki doğru düzgün fotoğraf çekmeyi bile unutmuşum.

The laughter was echoing around the workshop. I really love such moments. After someone told their memories, someone else started and this cycle continued with laughter without stopping. After a short while, we realized that the tea was over and brewed it again. The tea was running out but the memories were not 😄
Another favor of the shopkeeper friend was to light a hookah. To be honest, I didn't really like smoking hookah, but recently I started to enjoy it. Maybe it's the environment, I don't know.
Anyway, after the tea was brewed, the conversation continued at the same pace. When I looked at the clock, I realized it was 00.00 We had arrived at the workshop around 20.00. So I didn't even realize how fast the time had passed.

Kahkahalar adeta atölyenin içerisinde yankılanıyordu. Gerçekten böyle anları çok seviyorum. Birinin anısını anlatmasının ardından başka biri başlıyor ve bu döngü hiç durmadan kahkahalar eşliğinde devam ediyordu. Kısa bir süre sonra çayın bittiğini fark ettik ve tekrardan demledik. Çay bitiyordu ama anılar bitmiyordu 😄
Esnaf arkadaşın bir kıyağı da nargile yakmak oldu. Nargile içmeyi açıkçası çok sevmiyordum ama son zamanlarda keyif almaya başladım. Belki ortamdan kaynaklanıyordur bilmiyorum.
Her neyse, çay demlendikten sonra muhabbet aynı hızında devam etti. Saate baktığımda 00.00 olduğunu fark ettim. Biz 20.00 gibi atölyeye gelmiştik. Dolayısıyla vaktin ne kadar hızlı geçtiğini anlayamadım bile.

As the conversation continued, I noticed a puppy trying to climb up to the door. I think he was cold outside and wanted us to let him in. Or he heard our laughter and wanted to join the conversation 😅
We let the cute puppy in and he curled up right next to the stove. We offered him a few pieces of chicken left over from the barbecue and he devoured them immediately. He was obviously very hungry.
We left the workshop around 01.00. She left her puppy inside the workshop so that he wouldn't get cold outside.
In summary, I can say it was a great evening. It is necessary to get together with old friends from time to time and make such organizations.

Sohbet devam ederken kapıya doğru tırmanmaya çalışan bir köpek yavrusu fark ettim. Sanırım dışarda üşümüş kendisini de içeri almamızı istiyordu. Ya da kahkalarımızı işitip sohbete dahil olmak istedi 😅
Sevimli yavruyu içeri aldık, direk sobanın yanına kıvrıldı. Mangaldan artan birkaç tavuk parçasını ikram ettik ve anında bitirdi. Belli ki çok acıkmıştı.
Saat 01.00 gibi atölyeden ayrıldık. Köpek yavrusunu dışarda üşümemesi için atölyenin içinde bıraktı.
Özetle harika bir akşamdı diyebilirim. Ara ara eski arkadaşlarla toplanıp böyle organizasyonlar yapmak lazım..
