Saturday Market; Shopping Diary / Cumartesi Pazarı; Alışveriş Günlüğü 🍀

Good evening dear friends, I hope everything is fine. I previously shared a post under the name of a market trip from our district. Today we went shopping at the Saturday market, one of the biggest markets in Karaman province. It's been about a week since we came to Karaman and we are staying with my friend. Both for the needs of the house and for sightseeing, we left the house in the afternoon and headed towards the market. The market was very crowded and we had difficulty in taking steps. I love the atmosphere of the market, but crowded environments make me a little nervous to be honest. I expressed this mood to my friend and we tried to shop as fast as possible.

Herkese iyi akşamlar değerli arkadaşlar, umarım her şey yolundadır. Daha önce ilçemizden pazar gezisi adı altında post paylaşmıştım. Bugün Karaman ilinin en büyük pazarlarından biri olan cumartesi pazarına alışveriş yapmaya gittik. Karaman'a geleli yaklaşık bir hafta oldu ve arkadaşımla birlikte kalıyoruz. Hem evin ihtiyaçları hem de gezmek için ikindi saatlerinde evden çıkıp pazara doğru yol aldık. Pazar çok kalabalıktı adım atmakta güçlük çekiyorduk. Pazarın atmosferini seviyorum ancak kalabalık ortamlar beni açıkçası biraz geriyor. Arkadaşıma bu ruh halimi dile getirip, olabildiğince alışverişi hızlı yapmaya çalıştık.

We bought tomatoes, lettuce, potatoes, carrots, carrots, cucumbers, spinach. Since my friend was a little sick, we bought tangerines, which are high in vitamins. We completed the shopping in almost fifteen minutes. Just as we were about to leave the market, a familiar friend came across us and we started chatting. After chatting, we headed home.

Pazardan; domates, marul, patates, havuç, salatalık, ıspanak aldık. Arkadaşım biraz hasta olduğu için vitamin açısından yüksek olan mandalina aldık. Alışverişi neredeyse on beş dakikalık bir süre zarfında tamamladık. Pazardan tam ayrılacakken tanıdık bir arkadaş denk geldi ve sohbet etmeye başladık. Sohbetin ardından evin yolunu tuttuk.

It is about a fifteen minute walk from the house to the market. Therefore, we reached home in almost an hour. Maybe many of you know me now. I am very time-conscious and I calculate time extremely 😅
Maybe it's not a good thing, I don't know.

Ev ile pazarın arası yaklaşık olarak on beş dakikalık yürüme mesafesinde. Dolayısıyla hemen hemen bir saatlik bir süre zarfında eve ulaşmış olduk. Belki artık bir çoğunuz beni tanımıştır. Zamana çok önem veririm ve aşırı şekilde zaman hesaplaması yaparım. 😅
Belki de iyi bir şey değil bilmiyorum.

There is also a different issue I would like to mention. Right above this market that I shared photos of is the high school where I studied. Therefore, my memories of my high school years came to my mind. Even though time passes really fast, one cannot forget some things. It was like yesterday...
Another thing I would like to mention is that when I was in high school, I worked as a tea seller in this market. The shift would start at 7.00 a.m. and end at 7.00 p.m. During this time, I would sell between 1000-1500 teas a day. My daily wage (earnings) was 25 Turkish Liras. In other words, with the current value of the Hive, it was around 5 Hives. Although the amount may seem small, this money was very valuable to me at that time. I wanted to share this memory with you.

Ayrıca değinmek istediğim farklı bir konu var. Fotoğraflarını paylaştığım bu pazarın hemen üstünde eğitim aldığım lise bulunuyor. Dolayısıyla lise yıllarındaki anılarım aklıma geldi. Zaman gerçekten çok hızlı geçse de insan bazı şeyleri unutamıyor. Sanki dün gibiydi..
Bir başka değinmek istediğim konu ise, lise eğitimini aldığım bir dönemde bu pazarda çaycılık yaptım. Sabah 7.00 gibi mesai başlar akşam yine 7.00 gibi biterdi. Bu süre zarfında günlük 1000-1500 arası çay satardım. Benim günlük yevmiyem(kazancım) ise 25 Türk Lirası idi. Yani şu anki Hivenin değeriyle, 5 Hive civarı. Miktar az gibi görünse de o zamanlar bu para benim için çok değerliydi. Bu anımı da sizlerle paylaşmak istedim.
