Sacrifices Made for Success.

I was shocked to find my friend (someone I consider a big sister), awake almost all through the night after working her ass off during the day, simply trying to look for opportunities to make extra cash. I had to get up very early to make a great breakfast for her because I know she will stay with her laptop until she dozes off.
It is rather unfortunate that despite her consistent hard work, she does not have much to show for it, when I confronted her about it, she listed the long list of responsibilities she had to shoulder and I was so scared for her.

I noticed how much her siblings adore her but I never knew she was doing this much for them, she is particularly the only one trying to see that her siblings lack nothing, I must say I have never seen such a level of sacrifice before. The main thing is, she is not earning so much, so putting herself aside to that extent, screams out a high level of sacrifice and love.

Asides from the doing so much for her family, she also has great plans for herself. What I was thinking about seriously this morning is that, no one sees how much sacrifice she is making at the moment, until things begin to look rosy for her, then everyone would wonder how she was able to achieve so much, seeing her put in so much effort into building for the future, reminded me of how great it is to consistently put in effort into building the type of future we desire.

Let me just drop these few tips on the neccessary type of sacrifice that is needed to be made in order to attain success, according to what I have learnt from my friend.

Less socializing: We all know how important it is to socialize, have fun and meet people but there is a problem when the act of socializing becomes excessive. Anyone who desires to stand out amongst peers would have the make the choice of less time socializing with others and would rather focus that time on taking impactful steps that would guarantee success.

Make your own choice; The decision to constantly make your own choice will help you stand out and follow what seems best for you. The world is a very rowdy place and there are people constantly making a lot of noise, the choice to stand out of the noise to make your own choice will help you achieve a lot of success.

Accept that you are wrong: One very vital key to growth is accepting that you may be wrong sometimes, pick up the lessons and adjust in neccessary areas.
