Hello everyone

Greetings to you on this beautiful day and I wish you all happy new month, it's my pleasure to bring to you one of my recent design of a short shirt I made for my little niece from the left over fabric after making a pair of trousers for my nephew using plain fabric.

Last weekend, I thought of making use my time productively in improving on my sewing skill, what I thought of doing is making a trousers for my nephew from a plain material I had sometimes ago, I wanted to see how well I can sew that without anyone putting me through the process, though, I have been learning the skill for awhile now from my boss, but I thought of cutting and sewing it on my own to to how well I've improved.

After the completion of the trousers, I was glad it came out very nice even beyond my expectations 😃😃😃, I had some left over, which I thought at first should be enough to make a short for the youngest child but unfortunately, after folding in attempt to make the short, I found out it wasn't enough, on the other hand, I decided to make a short shirt for the girl in the house which will not take much time to finish and also can be achieved with this little left over.

Immediately, I folded the fabric to cut out the front and back together and sewn with an elastic band at the waist, after the completion of the shirt, I noticed it was too short, I remembered I had some pieces while cutting out the trousers I made, from the pieces, I got a long strip of about 4" which was pleated at the hem of the skirt to make it lengthy and also added a design to the skirt.

This was unbelievable when I told my sister how I made these short and skirt from 45" by 50" of plain fabric, she was glad with the outcome and appreciate what I was able to achieve.

Me encantó!!! Pudiste sacar dos prendas de toda esta tela. Se ven muy bien!!! Lindo color.

I loved it!!! You were able to pull two garments out of all this fabric. They look great!!! Nice color.
