Hello everyone

A great day to you all in this great community, I hope you are all doing good, in this week, i wish us all a positive and productive week as we engage in our activities and work for the week. Today, I will be sharing with you all how I creatively designed a beautiful gown outfit for my friend's 6months old baby from left over fabric from my previous sewing prooject .

Last month, I made some outfit my friend Grace's children from the fabric I was given and it was successfully completed with a beautiful outcome, the children loved the outfit so much that they came to thank me in appreciation fo the outfit I made for them, as a seamstress, after making outfit there is high tendency that there would be left over pieces of fabric and in this case, I had a little piece which was s aside, fortunately, there is this other friend of mine who had a little baby girl and I decided to use the remaining fabric from my previous project to make an outfit for her.

Join me in make this beautiful outfit for my friend's little baby.

I used the main fabric to cut out the upper bodice of the baby with the waist and bust circumference measurements of 20" and other necessary measurements as well with lining

The front was used to cut out the back bodice with 1.5" for zipper allowance

I used lining to turn the front and back neckline as well as the sides for neat finishing

After which the front and back were sewn together with the side seam allowance

The upper bodice was set aside and I proceeded to make the lower bodice of the gown. The main fabric was not enough to make the lower part so I brought out a black satin fabric from one of my previous project and it was used to cut out the lower part of the gown.

I cut out times 2 of the waist circumference measurements with zipper allowance and it was gathered together to the exact waist circumference measurements with zipper allowance.

For the sleeves, I also use the remaining black satin to cut out a puff sleeve with the main fabric as band on the hem of the sleeve.

The sleeves were sewn to the armhole circumference and the gathered pleat was sewn to the waist line with zipper sewn to the zipper allowance at the back.

Finally, the hem of the gown was folded in and I placed an applique on the chest line for a beautiful outcome.

This was given to my friend as a gift for her little daughter and she really appreciate and thanked me so much.

Thanks so much your time support comment and encouragement. Until my next post, do have a great day.
