Happy Sunday and a beautiful morning to you all, it's with great pleasure that I bring to you the making of this beautiful short gown I made with soft chiffon fabric for my cousin's friend for her Sunday outfit.

Sometimes ago, I made a dress for my cousin and her friend Glory love the dress she asked who made the dress for her and she was told I did, she saw me and told me how she loved the dress that I will help her make something simple too as that of my cousin's.

Last week, Glory called me that she has gotten 3yards of chiffon material which was gifted to her by her friend and she will like me to help her make a nice dress with it for Sunday. I collected the material from her and took the necessary measurement for the making of the dress.

Well, I wasn't given a specific style but I was just asked to make something simple and nice so I thought of making a long box pleat gown but along the line, she called and said she didn't want a long dress that she will prefer it short without knowing that I've started work already, so I had to cut the long gown into short using above her knee measurement, then, the one that was cut out was used to make a gathered pleat round the hem of the dress that was after cutting out the upper bodice.

The upper bodice was sewn together with the lower bodice and finally I sew the gathered pleat to the hem with zipper at the back and a basic sleeve.

The material is too transparent so I added lining to the lower part of the dress and the dress was delivered to Glory yesterday and I believe she will be wearing it to church today.
