Hello everyone

A beautiful morning to you all on this Monday morning, another Monday is here again for us @needleworkmonday where we showcase our creativity, I believe you are are doing great with your project at at.

I will be sharing with you today the making of a three steps peplum blouse I made for my neighbour for her newborn baby's naming ceremony. Just as it is here, when a mother gives birth to a newborn baby,on the 8days of the successful delivery, the baby will be given names depending on how elaborate the parent wants it to be.

After a successful delivery of mummy Faith's new baby without complications, I was contacted 2days after the delivery day to make a beautiful outfit for her for the naming of the child which was to be the 8days after the delivery date.

Immediately, I went to the market to get the necessary material for the making of the outfit which was to be a wrapper and peplum blouse. All the materials were gotten and I began work immediately.

First I cut out the wrapper and set it aside and my main focus was on how-to make the blouse beautiful.

In making the blouse, I drafted out a princess dart bustier on a brown paper using her bodice measurement which was later transfered to the main fabric to cut out same shape.

Now to the flare, I cut out a 720° flare with 2" intervals from the full length of the flare, then I added a soft stain to make it firm.
The first and the last flare, I used a satin material while the second flare, I used the lace fabric and it came out really nice.

The upper bodice and the flare were sewn together and I had a beautiful outcome, the sleeves and zipper were also sewn to the blouse to make a complete blouse. The remaining fabric was used to make a gown for faith.

Wow, I've never heard of this baby naming tradition. Your neighbor does look beautiful after giving birth and with that outfit, that color suits her very well. I love these suits, well done Bimpcy 💚.

That's how it's been been done here, family and friends come together to give the baby name after 8days of successful delivery and there will be lots of eating and drinking to celebrate the new baby.

Thanks so much for your comment @lauramica I'm glad you like the outfit.
