My attempt on making a shirt and trouser for a little boy
Hello everyone

It's a beautiful today and I hope you are all doing great, I bring all greetings from this part the world believing you are having lovely time with your sng project. Today from my sewing room, I will be sharing with my very first attempt on making a shirt and a trouser made from same fabric for a little boy, well in previous post, I have shared the making of the trouser with an elastic waist band which was not actually my first time, but this is special to me as I successfully made the top and trouser from the same fabric and todayi bring to you the complete outfit the a step b ste process of making the shirt.

For awhile now, I have had it in mind to make a shirt for my husband but I was actually scared of ruining the fabric fortunately fo me, a friend of mine brthis particular fabric that should help her make outfit for her family including her little son and I decided to give it a try and luckily for me, the outcome was really nice.
Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process below
For the making of the top, I folded my fabric in two with the chest measurement and seam to cut out the front part with extra 3" for the button in front then with the full length measurement

The front was placed on another folded with additional 3" longer than the front part and it was cut out

The two fabrics were placed together and it was slanted at the top by 1.5"

The back part was used to overlap the front by 0.5" before the shoulder, armhole and neckline were cut out

I have 2 pieces for the front, one for the button and the other for the button hole and 1 piece for the back

The front and back were sewn together with the extra inches for the button and button hole folded and sewn in

I measured round the neckline and it was used to cut out 2 pieces of the collar and collar stand

The collar was sewn to the neckline with a neat finishing as I went ahead to cut out the sleeves for both armhole

Finally, the sleeves were sewn together on the armhole circumference with the hem of the outfit folded in and with my hand needle and thread, I fixed button to the appropriate places with button holes

This is the final and beautiful outcome of the shirt and trouser I made for my friend's little boy

I hope you like the beautiful outcome, join me in my next post as I will be sharing with you other beautiful creativity from my sewing room.
