Hello everyone

Greetings to you all on this lovely day, it's been awhile now that we've been working on our community contest, #needleworkyourbucketlist and it's so amazing to read different creativity from creative minds, at this point I want to also bring to you one of my bucketlist project.

It is always fun for me to sew, sometimes I lack fabric to work on but I wouldn't mind asking people around me if they have any fabric for me to make for them anytime I'm bored just to keep myself busy and happy, I noticed that there is this joy and calmness I feel anytime I sew something no matter how small it is and also, sewing helps me to learn something new.

For awhile now, I have been wanting to make something new which I have not done before, that is making an outfit for a breastfeeding mother, I have been seeing people wearing outfit with zipper in front but I have not had the opportunity of making it for anyone, but I know that I will definitely have the opportunity to sew it for someone.

Fortunately for me, my neighbor gave birth recently and had kept one of her fabric with me, then I thought this is an opportunity for me to make use of I told her that I would like to make an outfit for her with her fabric and she agreed with me.

Today, I will be sharing the cutting and sewing of the upper bodice.

Before now, I have watched several videos online on the cutting and sewing process, so to start with, I decided to make the upper bodice a princess dart bustier with yoke using a lace fabric for the yoke which was cut out using my neighbor (Mrs Moses) measurement.

Instead of the zipper to be at the back, I intend to fix it in front for easy breastfeeding of the baby.

The upper bodice were sewn together and I have a complete upper bodice,now I'm left with the lower part of the dress which I've not really decided on what to make, all these was fun to me as I look forward to my complete project.

I'm actually thinking of making a flare, pleat or pencil gown. What do you think?
