A beautiful morning to you all on this lovely day, I hope you are all doing great, as for me, I'm doing just fine aside the stress of my cousin's wedding schedule for this month, we've all been up and doing just to make sure things goe well, for this reason, I have to consider the type of outfit to make for people, close family and friends always wanted me to make their outfit but this time, I am just too busy for elegant and gorgeous outfit that will take most of my time, I only consider those will simple outfits that won't take the whole day for me to finish.

My sister's friend told me earlier that she will be coming with her fabric and I explained to her that I will be very busy for the month that I can only make simple outfit for now, she brought the fabric to me for me to make an outfit for her, when I saw the fabric, it's just a fabric suitable for simple gown, immediately, this outfit came to my mind, this style has been trending for a while now, almost everybody has it only people like me that doesn't fancy trendy stuffs like that, when I told her, she was pleased with it as she already explained that she doesn't have much to spare on the outfit. All that is needed from my end for this style is just.

Sewing thread
½yard of satin material
Glittering stones of your choice.

To get started

The fabric of 5yards was folded vertically into 2 then I measured the shoulder, chest, waist, hip and full length measurement before inputting the horizontal measurement

I folded the remaining fabric into 2 again to cut out the back part of the gown with the neck depth of 1.5" while the front was 5" with 4.5" for the width all other parts were shaped out the same.

I proceeded to the v shape design in front of the gown by folding the front part into 2 then placed it on the black satin material, I shaped out the neck and from the top of the shoulder, I curved a V-shape out to the center of the waist.

I cut out two of the V-shape and it was placed right side facing right side and it was sewn before been turned inside out and ironed, I placed the V-shape on the front part of the gown and it was sewn on it placing the center of the satin on the center of the main fabric.

The facing that was cut out from the fabric was used to turn the neckline for neat finishing for the front and back. The front and back bodice were sewn together and a basic sleeve was cut out to be sewn to the armhole.

On the hem of the sleeves, I added 3" of the satin to give it a beautiful look. Finally, the part I added satin was beautifully embellished with glittering stone and I have my sister's friend Christmas outfit ready.

The total expenses with the fabric cost $10.
