I'm glad to share with you the finished process of this beautiful gown I made for my client which she intend to wear for a wedding.

In my previous post, I shared with you the step by step process of the cutting and sewing of the upper bodice and also the sleeves, you can check my blog for detailed explanation, this wouldn't have taken much of my time, but I had other things to attend to so the little time I have, I make sure i work on the dress just to meet up with the delivery date.

As explained in my previous post, there is little I can do in term of styling a 2½ yards of lace fabric without adding another material just for it to be enough so in this case, I decided to style the sleeve of the simple off shoulder gown I made and this was simply beautiful.

Below are the pictorial view of the cutting and sewing process.

Though, the first thing I did was to cut out the lower part of the dress which is the most important, then the remaining lace fabric was used to cut the upper bodice after being drafted out on a brown paper.

The lower part of the dress

The sleeves

After cutting out ×3 of the round sleeve measurement and the armhole to fit in, I made a loop at 1" below the top and also at the middle. At the top, I inserted an elastic band while at the middle, a made a strip with the satin material and inserted it in the loop.

All these were taken to the sewing machine to be sewn together and this is the finished dress
