The soaring cost of living is suffocating, but this is not an unstoppable phenomenon.
Politicians caused this, and it can be solved by different politicians willing to take unpopular measures.

Above all else, the state should be brutalised in size—like nothing seen before. A public sector bonfire visible from space is the stated aim.

The commitment is to deliver a Britain that lives within its means, with an immediate priority of paying off the national debt. Vast interest repayments are described as a boot on the nation's neck.

That debt is presented as inheritable and unacceptable for future generations, so the focus must be on cutting debt, not just the deficit.

The message is candid: the process will be really, really painful; there are no easy solutions or promises of utopia.

The single proposed answer is drastic reductions in the size of the state and sweeping tax cuts—taken down in a way not seen before.

The plan calls for higher thresholds and slashed rates, with cuts to VAT, alcohol duty and fuel duty, and an end to so-called stealth taxes, all aimed at rewarding work.

The position holds that the state is harmful and the individual is good; individuals should be trusted to make decisions rather than bureaucrats.

Growth is attributed to a far smaller state, lower taxes, more people working, fewer people dependent on benefits, cheaper energy, stronger borders, a secure society and actual production.

Government should focus on a very small list of tasks—protect people, protect borders, protect interests—and do those extremely well.

The claim is that this is the only way to get the cost of living under control and that parasitic elements of Britain must be crushed.
