LEO Threads Has A Chance But It Needs At Act

The first great moment for "project blank" otherwise now known at Leo Threads was talked about all the way back when Trump was kicked off of twitter. This was the first great time frame in which onboarding and seriously pushing threads would have made sense. After that we saw a massive exoduses of people from the platform and a huge call out for web 3 solutions.

The issue...

There's seriously no honestly good alternatives they kind of all half ass it and suck to put it bluntly.

The following months and I would even say a good year almost two after that was a push to try and get web3 solutions up and running. However yet again every project I've been following still has yet to deliver nearly anything on that promise and it still floors me to this day.

I'm seriously hoping 2023 starts moving us in this direction and that first of the projects to do this will be Leo Threads.

Twitter Can Have Competition

At the moment crypto twitter is starting to export and move on to other platforms and not so much use twitter. This is now the second greatest time for Threads to launch and provide a real honest use case for web3.

A twitter like platform, on the blockchain and supported by ad revenue that supports its users and content creators. That's powerful but there's A LOT more that goes into making it a successful platform.

You see Facebook, Instagram and Twitter didn't become massive companies by offer money to content creators instead they had great timing and provided a service and something people wanted to interact with. Then flooded in content creators who said FOLLOW ME! Which meant others had to create accounts on these platforms in order to interact with people and content creators in which they wanted to leave their feedback.

What Gets Results

A clean UI, interactive content and a smooth experience will ALWAYS out beat oh this platform pays you. However combine the two in the right way and you have one hell of an explosive new platform.

I think the one that does this best would be youtube.

Content creators dump content on youtube, promote youtube and work their butt off and only get a 65% or less cut from all of their efforts. That means if you're a youtube creator and you earn $10,000 a month that means you earned youtube $4,500 simply for hosting your videos.

Don't get me wrong there are expenses for hosting videos and having a quick loading website but outside of that the company pockets everything. This is a successful model in business and one that could be mimicked in crypto but for some reason still has not. Leo Threads will be the first real attempt at ad revenue providing value.

Threads has a niche, it has the basics now it needs the clean smooth UI (hopefully soon) and on top of that one single thing that caters to that target audience that makes it a little sweater than using twitter. The money base line is nice but the interaction with content with little knowledge of earned revenue can help prevent spam and unwanted massive amounts of trash. I mean to be honest we have all seen as soon as you throw a penny into the pound how many short cuts, bots and flat out spam junk comments there are like hello dear etc.

We as users will need to be just as proactive at promoting the platform as well as issuing value to content we want on the platform. Low quality being rewarded will promote more low quality and more votes towards high quality or at least engaging non spammy stuff will promote more of that. Of course there will always be a mix of it we do have control over it a decent amount in terms of what gets rewarded and what doesn't.

Here's to what I hope will be a successful launch that starts to build revenue and userbase.

Agree the user experience is very important for new user experience. I was wondering where you were heading with your comments about video?? Should threads do something different to host video?
