What's New At Hive Feb 13th

I overlooked doing my normal weekly what's new at hive edition yesterday but I'm also thinking perhaps Monday would be a better day or Friday so I'm going to explore that a bit. The what's new at hive edition is a break down each week of things that happened, are expected to happen and just give a general pulse of what's going on in the world of the Hive blockchain. This is more high level things and not core dev stuff. Instead it's things front end users would care about and I expect this to balloon and grow this year rapidly towards summer as many projects release.

As always if you're working on a project or released a project or simply did something on hive let me know in the comments below. This is a one man army at the moment so I might miss things and not hit all topics. If you feel it's worthily please let me know in the comments.

What's New

Psyber-X

Psyberx is a game I ran into about I would say a year and a half ago maybe going on to two years now where it was just an idea and their first post on the platform. It's hard to tell much at that time in terms of investment etc but overall I have to say it's been interesting watching this program and project grow on hive. @psyberx account will have details on the project as they go.

For me the big moment was finally getting to download the game on Steam and play it over the weekend! The game seems rather solid so far but be warned it's a massive 124GB file right now when fully unpacked so you'll need a decent amount of hard drive space for it. (This number will of course go down as development continues to happen and file sizes get optimized)

LeoFinance Crew 3

The launch of a crew3 leo project is a easy way to get people involved in a gameify type fashion. Earn xp and level up by doing tasks that relate to leofinance.

What's Coming

Threads LEO UI

I think the biggest news is the release of "Project Blank" aka the new twitter like threads feature on LeoFinance and the major overhaul of the UI. This is a project that I know has been brought to our attention over two years ago and is finally coming to life. Let me just say I'm excited to finally see progress on it and I feel it could be a major boost for hive and leofinance in general.

Splinterlands

Only 1,370,000 chaos packs remain. While that sounds like a lot don't forget that not only is buying pressure going to start heating up to grab the last of these packs but a large amount of packs are being burned every day. I expect Chaos packs to go off the shelfs come the end of this month if not sooner.

We are also starting to gear heavily into land and a lot of people are getting prepared for it.

Other things related to splinterlands would be the release of the GLGT token which can now be traded on the hive-engine exchanges. 1 GLGT token will let you get either 1 bonus pack in the Genesis League Shop for packs on large orders or take a $10 per pack order and drop it down to just $5 for the pack! That means real world value the GLGT should be worth around $5 and is far from that. I suspect when the game releases in Q2 that GLGT tokens should increase in price by some as well as the GLX governance token so keep an eye out on that one.

SoulKeeper is also the name of the tower defense game which is from what I here expected for release come Q2 as well. That's two potentially HUGE game projects that are launching in the next 4 months on the hive blockchain.

There's also other games that continue to build on the backend but the release dates on those and further details are still unknown to me. I'm pretty excited for a number of them though.
