Why Facebook (META) Will Never Crypto
Since Facebooks large scale trial of the clueless government about data privacy Facebook has been on a downward trajectory and continues to be attacked on all fronts. For those of you thinking the FTC, SEC and government are attacking crypto heavy well you'd be in for a surprise at just how much they are hammering web2 applications with their pointlessness.
During the last data breach trials which was one of the biggest jokes and wake up calls that the old farts in power understood nothing about Facebook, data collection etc it's become clear that Facebook was a drying trend. However will billions of users it takes time for it to completely die and because of that they still claw their way back at times.
The most recent was the reinvention of Facebook and the metaverse even changing the name to Meta. The thing is the days of renaming your company to save face are over. Too much is public knowledge and a name change wont save you.
META
Meta if Facebook make no mistake about it. But it's focusing it's traction on some really old school looking metaverse that honestly only attracts a small amount of people and reminds me of the wii days. Sure wii was cool and fun but it was really limited and never really took the spotlight. It was that other system you didn't really care to do much with. Meta is the same way. It's there, it's ok but my life's perfectly fine without it and I don't give it a second thought.
Scams
We all know that a bulk of scams come from ads run on web2 applications paid and unpaid. There are sly small tactics they use to bring down a whirlwind of scam after scam. Even discord bots are a thing but I'd have to say those are more easily detectable then Facebook scam ads.
In most cases a bulk of Facebooks ad revenue ends up coming from these shady platforms and whenever I'm on Facebook for the short period of time each day all I see are flat out ads for scams and pure junk that are some how "targeted" to me because I 3 years ago said something about crypto.
Unlike web 3 decentralized variants there's no one person to directly attack like the FTC and SEC can in the cases of Coinbase, Facebook, Twitter etc. and because of that it seems like they have become laser focused on going after companies like Facebook yet again. Let's just say you do not want to be a company right now trying to start up a web 2.0 application. Not only is the timing wrong but the overall attacks that would come on to you would quickly cripple your hopes of taking on anyone or anything.
Perhaps that's more of a reason of why we are actully seeing more web3 applications come online. Now while they still are not up to web2 standards I have a feeling that will be quickly changed. A web 3 application not only needs to mimic or do better then a web3 it also has to take into content token utilization and much more. Think of it as a fully working web2 application like Twitter but decentralizing it, tokenizing it to provide value to the content creators and more! It's a rather large undertaking but one we need to get figured out fast.
If there is one thing that's annoying me at the moment it's all these web3 applications that are half ass'ing their project, feel they shouldn't run any ads and just get hand outs from people and some how their native token is going to have momentary value to it and their application will just run magically on it's own. Any application that has this type of thinking is OFF my radar as I already know it's a lost cause. So lets start building something great and realize that ads do need to be a part of it. It needs to work as well if not better than web 2 variation and it needs more work towards decentralization.
It is only then at that point that we will really start shifting things as a web3 wave.

Even if Facebook changes its name it can never be centralized and which still make easier for sec to attack

I am not informed about this. So I ask you for some confirmations, does META have its own blockchain with its own currency? Is it decentralized? (I don't think Meta can have the goal of being decentralized)
