Why This LPUD Is Different

LPUD or LEO Power Up Day is a day where we all get together to provide awesome prizes and bring attention to the power of powering up your LEO tokens here on the hive blockchain for LeoFinance. Last month we had a pretty cool NFT prize for a theme of slaying dragons and this month I think the prize is even better!

I recently went over a few reasons why I personally feel LEO is a good bet right now which I highlighted in this article The Next LPUD Why You Should Take Part In that article I highlighted a number of features that are coming to LEO within the next few weeks and at the start of 2023. These new features have serious potential in terms of massive growth on LEO and also the Hive blockchain.

What's New With This Months LPUD ?

Anything you power up over 150 LEO on the 15th of the this month December 2022 you will get a equal amount delegated to you for nearly a month. That delegation is going to be powerful when Threads comes into full effect within the next two weeks (expected)

Talk about finishing 2022 with a bang! This is a huge incentives and a great way for others to get involved and get some serious stake in the game.

How A Delegation Works

A delegation allows another person to delegate you power in this case Leo Power. From that power by using your max curation votes every day you would be hitting well into the 11% APR. The awesome part about it is those curation rewards you earn from that power up will be yours to keep and power up, sell, add to defi etc.

What's Coming To LEO

I think it important to highlight this and go over it again and again. To really drill it home the potential if many people get involved and use it right. The new UI for LEO and the focus on Threads has the possibility to capture a huge audience of crypto focused people that generate a wealth of content every day. The beautiful thing about Crypto is it's always a hot topic with a very large community and a community around the world. This audience if even a partial came on to LEO and started to interact with it here could generate massive ad revenue that gets returned into the value of the LEO token (more on that later)

By creating quality content, leaving quality comments on others posts and increasing engagement across the board that engagement will attract more people to come in and leave their two cents. This has the potential of driving thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars in revenue into the platform and really shoot up the value of the LEO token as well as the resources of HIVE.

For me personally I'll be spending a good amount of time on Threads (however being that it's so close to the holidays my time will be limited and some days nothing) my time will be spent commenting, posting engaging topics and also dropping small votes on people. (Personally I still hate the fact that my hive power is going to be used up for this as well I rather it just be LEO or another layer 2 token only but it is what it is. (I've though about seeing up another hive account that's only LEO tokens) however for now I'm going to stick with it because I know all of those new users are going to need a little bit of Hive themselves and this is a great way to dish out a bunch to many new users to the hive blockchain.

I want you to think less of the benefit to you short term and think long term when the new UI launches. This is because people are going to want to see the benefits for themselves and have quality content to engage with. If you focus only on yourself and what you can get out of it I fear the platform will fail. So be a little generous with both your time and curation over the next few weeks on threads. This will be a all hive/leo on board effort to make this happen.
