This is my experience going to the bank for change of phone number and ended up not achieving anything after waiting on a que for almost an hour plus

It is very understandable as this part of the world has been so difficult when it comes to banks getting problems fix for your account unless time 20 minutes and I believe that every Nigerian can attest to this as this has been our very problem with banks right from the very beginning till date as I write this publication, but I strongly do believe that there is a room for improvement and so one day there might be a better way to help us all from all the suffering of having to wait on a queue for 2 hours or if not even more.

It's been 3 days now since I went to the bank for change of phone number as I lost my SIM card a week ago and going to MTN office to go welcome back my SIM resolved to a mistake that was being done in the past when I was registering the SIM card. what is doing the same card I literally wasted my time while the lady that was registering the SIM card for me brought thumbprint machine and cameras all over my face full verification and at the end of the day she sold for me I'm already registered SIM card of hers and so going to MTN to retrieve my SIM card was a big problem as I couldn't get it done with my ID as the information there was different from the information I had. this leads to me getting a new SIM card in that was what prompt me to rush into the bank that very day to register my new SIM card so I can get access so that particular bank while I actually make her time to go to other banks to fix the phone number in all of my accounts.

When I go there I asked what's the requirements what's to changing my phone number and I was told I didn't need anything that I just needed to fill a form which I did and patiently join the queue as I was instructed. After waiting for an hour plus only to get to my turn and find out that I needed a passport photograph so at that very moment I knew I didn't have a soft copy of a passport photograph but I have an hard copy on my phone and so I asked if I could send them the digital passport photograph and they refused. There was no where close to where I could take a passport photograph around the bank and the time was not by my side as it was already 27 minutes to closing hours and so I had to cancel getting that solve and at the same time I was feeling so weak as I literally stressed myself throughout the day not having breakfast, not having lunch and it was already approaching dinner hours and I was so weak.

If there is anything I did right was the fact that I actually went ahead to ask what the requirements were so I wouldn't actually waste time waiting and I was told I need nothing except for the form that I already filled and after waiting for an hour plus I got another information and I guess that was my major problem ( not telling me I and wasting my time). I do believe that someday this problem is going to be solved and we will have to accept digitals...
