Esta mañana hice ayudantes de Santa, poco a poco alrededor del arbolito navideño habrán más personajes.

Pueden realizarse de diferentes maneras, yo conseguí esta forma de representación bastante adorable, así que me puse manos a la obra.

De fieltro pueden quedar muy bien amigos, su forma se sostendrá mucho mejor. Yo aún no trabajo con ese material ya que conseguirlo en las tiendas es difícil, por lo que siempre utilizo distintos tipos de tela y encaje para las costuras.

This morning I made Santa's helpers, little by little around the Christmas tree there will be more characters.

They can be made in different ways, I got this rather adorable representation form, so I got down to work.

They can be very well made of felt, my friends, and their shape will hold much better. I still don't work with this material because it is difficult to get it in stores, so I always use different types of fabric and lace for the seams.

🍭 Materiales que utilicé:

• Telas variadas de color verde, rojo, azul, blanco y estampadas.

• Piedras de colores para pulsera y botones.

• Algodón o material de relleno.

• Pintura negra, para los ojos.

• Lápiz.

• Tijeras, hilos color blanco y negro. Y agujas.

🍭 Materials I used:

• Assorted fabrics in green, red, blue, white and printed.

• Colored stones for bracelet and buttons.

• Cotton or stuffing material.

• Black paint for the eyes.

• Pencil.

• Scissors, black and white thread. And needles.

La parte principal del muñeco, se hace dibujando medio círculo sobre una tela doblada por la mitad. En ambos lados se dibuja medio círculo.

The main part of the doll is made by drawing a half circle on a fabric folded in half. Half circles are drawn on both sides.

Los bordes de la tela se van a coser, por lo que cuando se vaya a recortar la forma, debe dejarse un espacio de diferencia.

The edges of the fabric are to be sewn, so when the shape is to be cut out, a gap should be left.

La línea que está trazada en la tela, servirá de guía para doblar los bordes hacia adentro y coser. Yo estoy haciendo un tipo de costura en X, para darle un toque divertido al personaje.

The line that is drawn on the fabric will serve as a guide to fold the edges inward and sew. I'm doing a kind of X stitching, to give a fun touch to the character.

Luego se comienza con los accesorios, primero armé unos moños pequeños, haciendo una costura ligera en el centro de un cuadro de tela.

Then you start with the accessories, first I put together some small bows, making a light stitching in the center of a fabric square.

El hilo se jala ajustando la forma de un moño. Voy a utilizar varios para decorar la primera figura.

The thread is pulled by adjusting the shape of a bow. I will use several to decorate the first figure.

El moño más grande, lo pondré como collar en la cima del traje, en donde va la cabeza.

The larger bow, I will put it as a necklace on the top of the suit, where the head goes.

Con un circulo de doble tela armaré la cabeza del personaje, y la rellenaré de algodón.

With a double fabric circle I will make the head of the character, and fill it with cotton.

Como le voy a hacer un gorro al muñeco, a la cabeza le dejaré ese borde que sobró cuando sellé la costura. Sirve como aguante, para pegar más fácil el gorro cuando esté listo.

Since I'm going to make a hat for the doll, I'll leave the edge of the head that was left over when I sealed the seam. It serves as a support, to make it easier to glue the hat when it is ready.

El gorro se hace con la forma de un triángulo, se doblan los bordes hacia adentro y se cose. Luego de que estuvo listo le agregué un detalle extra con tela roja.

The hat is made in the shape of a triangle, the edges are folded inwards and sewn. After it was ready I added an extra detail with red fabric.

La mayor parte del personaje ya está listo, en este momento lo que queda es unir todas las piezas y decorar.

Most of the character is ready, now all that remains is to put all the pieces together and decorate.

La mirada de este ayudante de Santa la hice con una costura de hilo negro, pero también se puede hacer con pintura de tela de color negro.

Una piedra blanca para cada mano, y sus pies los hice con un poco de tela roja.

The look of this Santa's helper I made with black thread stitching, but it can also be done with black fabric paint.

A white stone for each hand, and his feet I made with some red fabric.

Esta es una manera de hacer un ayudante de Santa, pueden hacerse de variedad de colores y con otros tipos de decoración, como piedras de pulseras o botones.

This is one way to make a Santa helper, they can be made in a variety of colors and with other types of decorations, such as bracelet stones or buttons.
