First I want to thank @carlynn for inviting me to join this contest. I know the contest has ended but I'd still like to talk about reading. I have been aware of hive book club but since I haven't read any book lately I haven't really participated much in the community. This will be my first time posting in this community.

I love to read books. I remember while growing up I used to read a lot of books , everywhere and everytime. When I say books I mean mostly novels, as much as I love reading I do it for pleasure (I don't read all types of books) if you know what I mean😌

Today, I'll be responding to some questions concerning reading and everything I do while reading.

What is your favorite time or place to read?

Reading for me was done anywhere and anytime literally. I used to go everywhere with a book, since I wasn't going to interact much. Whenever I get tired of interacting I bring out my book and start reading.

What is your favorite time or place to read?

Everytime was my favourite time to read. Reading novels was a hobby to me back then and I do it in my free time. My favourite place to read was my house. I could concentrate and have minimal disturbance at home, unlike anywhere else.

What makes you enjoy a book?

The characters were my favourite part of the book. How individual characters come together to make something interesting. The roles each of them place in getting the book to be what it is, is really what I enjoy most about every book.

Do you like to read outdoors, before bed or on the bus on your way to work?

Although I'd occasionally read on the bus, and outdoors. I prefer reading on my bed. I'm most relaxed and can enjoy the full extent of the book with minimal distractions. Also I love to read while eating. I'm not a huge fan of food, so reading takes my mind off food.

Do you focus on character development, thoughtful messages, or the level of intrigue a plot generates in you?

I read more crime novels, which is my favourite genre. I do it for the intrigue, the excitement, the suspense. Wondering what would happen next, how it will happen, when it will happen or if it will ever happen.

I loved to read crime novels because I wanted to learn more about how they think. It was a way of safeguarding myself I think. I feel like I'd understand how they think you can help yourself in situations like that, knowing that the most unsuspecting moment could spell doom.

It's been a while since I read a book. I think I'm going to pick one soon and try to finish it. Reading is good whether I do it for pleasure or not and it's time to include reading in my schedule again.

Thanks for stopping by ❤️
