Maybe WOO Just Needs to Catch Its Breath This Weekend

A Big Hello to all WOO Fans! 🥳🥳🥳 WOO!

There are some weekends in WOO where it feels like something is always happening. There is another event, another announcement, another reward to chase or another reason to jump into the game. Then there are weekends where everything suddenly becomes a little quieter, and as a fan, you start wondering whether you missed an announcement somewhere. I think I have a perfectly reasonable explanation for this weekend. Maybe WOO simply needs to catch its breath.

I have gotten some feedback that reminders are pretty useful when it comes to the regular events held in WOO. So here I am again with a quick reminder for any upcoming events.

When you look at everything that has already been packed into August, it is actually quite difficult to argue that there has not been enough happening. The August Ascension Battle Pass alone is a pretty substantial change from what we had before, moving from 50 levels to 75 while introducing more Daily Quests and a completely different Premium Track structure. Players now have 60,000 XP to work towards if they want to reach Level 75, with 75,200 XP available across the different quest categories.

That is already a lot for players to get through, especially when you consider that the Battle Pass is running alongside the August Summer Meltdown events.

The Summer Meltdown schedule has effectively given WOO something different to talk about every week. Code Red started things off with 150 WOO Jobber Packs, No Shade moved into 200 Gym Bags, Rolling Blackout brought another 150 Jobber Packs, and One Last Sunset finishes the weekly run with another 200 Gym Bags. There is a lot of activity there without WOO needing to add another major event every single weekend.

From a fan's perspective, I actually think there is something quite sensible about that. Sometimes a game needs to give players a chance to catch up with what is already available rather than constantly throwing something new at them. If every weekend brought another major announcement or event, eventually the existing content would start getting lost underneath the next thing.

Maybe this weekend is therefore the WOO equivalent of a locker room recovery day.

The wrestlers have been competing. The players have been completing quests. The Battle Pass has been ticking along, and somewhere there are probably hundreds of Gym Bags and Jobber Packs being distributed across the ecosystem. At some point, somebody has to sit down and take a breath.

The funny thing is that WOO can be quiet without actually being inactive. The Battle Pass is still there, the Daily Quests are still available, and the Seasonal objectives are still waiting to be completed. Players can still make progress towards Level 75 without needing another special weekend event to tell them to log in.

So I am going to give WOO the benefit of the doubt this weekend. Maybe nothing is wrong at all. Maybe the silence is simply part of the rhythm.

After all, you cannot have every weekend feeling like the biggest weekend in WOO history. Sometimes the wrestlers need to rest, the players need to catch up, and the people behind the scenes need a little breathing room.

That is my excuse, anyway. WOO is not quiet because nothing is happening. WOO is quiet because there is already plenty happening.

TLDR: This is a reminder to all my readers (and WOO fans) that baring any last minute sudden surprise events, this weekend should be a relatively quiet one. 😜

Well, that's it for today. We will continue again tomorrow! 😁 WOO! 🎉
