We Three Kings - A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words - 12/22/2021

• What i see
  The Three Wise Men atop their camels trekking across the vast territory in their search for The King of Kings.

• What i feel
  The wonder that 3 such learned men would put their faith in the stars and had enough conviction to go on their quest.

Trudging through the endless plains, under the scorching heat of the day and through the cooling respite of the night, they moved onwards steadfastly. Guided by that mystical star that showed up every night to light their path, they never stopped for long, except to gather the provisions they needed to continue their journey.

What would they find at the end of their journey? Even the Wise Men, learned as they were could not tell for sure. They just knew that a momentous world changing event had happened and they had to investigate and bear witness to it.

Their studies had prophesied that a King to rule all Kings would finally be making an appearance, but other than that, it was scant on details. No one they had talked to during their long arduous journey had heard any mention of such a King. Had their lifelong studies been wrong? How could such a powerful being not have made any waves yet? It was imperative that they find out. The fate of the world could quite possibly depend on them solving this perplexing conundrum.

The great city of Jerusalem was just half a day's ride in front of them. Already, the glistening walls of the city could be seen over the horizon. Perhaps the King who ruled there could be of some help. They had heard of Herod the Great Builder who had expended vast resources into rebuilding The Holy Temple of Jerusalem. Surely a wise person like him could shed some light on this mysterious turn of events.

But in the meantime, all they could do now was to just continue onwards, never wavering, their trusty camels bearing their loads just as they carried the burden of the prophecy in their minds. Onwards and onwards, putting faith in that magical star that guided them, they just had to push on.
