Hello to any of my readers and "Dear (weekly) Diary" 😜

I had thought that the price of crypto seemed to be on an uptrend with BTC seeming to hold at 28k levels for most of the previous week. However, the recent instability in the Middle East between Israel and the Hamas has now thrown world markets into turmoil. Needless to say, we're back in the 26+k range again for BTC and HIVE has naturally been dragged down again too. I guess we can never predict when a sudden world event will hit us unexpectedly. 📈📉

On the Splinterlands dev side of the game, it seems like a entirely new set of cards are coming soon! Rebellion presale will start in a matter of days and when it launches, it will be the latest MAIN SET and Untamed will phase out of Modern completely! 😱

But before I go into detail...

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 99th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊

No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

It's a pretty mundane week in Splinterlands for me. Log in, play as many games as I can to drain off my energy and complete all those daily quests. 😁 It's not something spectacular, but at least I do enjoy playing those games whenever I have some free time, and I do get a bit of rewards everyday from having fun. Whether that's worth anything in the monetary sense is of course another issue, given this very bearish climate for crypto and Splinterlands.

My quest for more Gold Foil Legendary cards from my rewards chests continues on ("Greed is Good!" 😈). It's a 0.008% chance, at base level, to pull a legendary gold foil, in case you were wondering 😉. Here's to more jackpot strikes in the future (i hope) 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀.

My main regularly picks up the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Only Fray no.12✨🏅✨ while my alt takes up the ✨🏅✨Bronze Chaos Legion Fray no. 7✨🏅✨ every week.

My good run of form continued this week as I managed to achieve a Perfect Score on both my main and alt accounts! I scored 4-0 and 5-0 respectively on my main and alt. Would this translate into a good finish for the guild though? 😜

PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 1st place! 🏆🏆🏆

We did it! That's yet another 1st place finish in the past few weeks for us. It seems like the bots removal from guild brawls has had a very good positive effect for smaller guilds like ours. I was honestly very surprised given that we had less than usual participants this week. In the past, this would have meant zero chance of getting 1st as the sheer number from "bot guilds" would have overwhelmed our good results anyway.

Great Job from everyone who took part in the Guild Brawls! I'm proud of you all! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I think this image speaks a thousand words on it's own. The next major expansion is coming. Rebellion, like Chaos Legion, is a major set in Splinterlands that is due to be released very soon. It has a total of 96 cards in total and will change the dynamics of the game completely. Not only that, this also means that the powerful Untamed expansion will be phased out of Modern! Say Goodbye to all those overpowered Yodins and Llama Krons. You will be missed. Of course, it's not like you won't be seeing them forever. They will just only be in the Wild format along with all the other phased out expansions.
