It was spinning towards him like a missile.

Tracking it's movement with intense concentration, he knew this was his moment and was determined to take it.

He swung his bat as it connected with the ball head-on.

The crowd got to their feet and cheered.

It was a home run!

Thank you for your encouragement 😊. I've always enjoyed using words to describe what would otherwise be a split second action in real life. It's almost as if we can freeze that moment in time.

Just 2 days ago a great baseball player left this world. He was a great father and a great husband to one of my best friends. Even if he was the pitcher when he played, I honor him here and his family. Just found this a great story, and yes he won 🤍
