He opened his eyes weakly as he stared at her guilt ridden expression.

He had come to his cousin in his time of need but she had betrayed him.

"I forgive you," he uttered as he breathed his last.

It was there in the abbey, the great Robin Hood died.

Quite the terrible ending wasn't it? I remember reading King Arthur and then Robin Hood as a kid. Both British legends who ended up dead after a lifetime of heroic deeds. 😭
