Sterling Silver Jewelry: Is it Worth it?

If you think about it, silver is the 3rd most expensive metal after gold and platinum (excluding obscure, rare metals like rhodium or osmium.) Silver is relatively cheap and sought-after by consumers for the reason that it’s shiny and valuable. When you have a metal that is resistant to corrosion, lustrous, uncommon, and inexpensive, then it becomes a good object for decoration. That explains why silver is probably one of the most commonly used metals for jewelry. Anklets, rings, bracelets, chains, necklaces, you name it.
If you are a buyer of silver jewelry, you’ve probably noticed that a lot of them are not made from pure silver. Unlike silver bullion, silver jewelry is usually made from sterling silver. Silver is frequently misunderstood to be the “inferior” metal. Gold may appear to be a better investment than silver at times. But if you comprehend the factors that contribute to silver’s value, you will realize that this is not the case.
Silver is exceptionally stable and resilient.
Silver will tarnish, but only if it’s exposed to hydrogen sulfide. Even if it’s tarnished, the brownish bronze color of the toning could be incredibly beautiful. This is not coping. As a matter of fact, some silver actually sold for a higher price because of toning.

Even if you don’t like the toning, you could somehow clean the silver, and there should be no loss of silver in the process. The best part about sterling silver is it’s actually tougher than pure silver. Like most alloys, their purpose is to enhance the durability of the pure version of the metal.
Silver can benefit your health
This is not entirely baseless, as silver is known for its antimicrobic properties. There are also claims that said silver is good for mental health. Other than that, silver could speed up healing and recovery and improve blood circulation. Silver was thought by ancient astrologers to have the power to banish all evil from one’s life. If you don’t believe in all these woo-woo, it’s fine. At least one can’t deny that silver is the “feel good” metal, and wearing it as jewelry enhances the feeling for some.
Do people still buy silver jewellery in our days

Of course, why not😊
You have convinced me enough. But I still think Gold is better somehow. But from your point of view, I think silver is a good investment too. Thanks for sharing.
