Crypto.com, a Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency company, reportedly lost $15 million in a cyberattack. The company has not revealed the exact amount of money that was stolen but did say that it was more than $5 million.

The company said that the attack resulted in the theft of funds from its treasury wallet, which is where Crypto.com holds its crypto assets and fiat currency reserves.

The attack was discovered on April 27th when Crypto.com noticed an unusual withdrawal from its treasury wallet on April 24th by an external actor who managed to obtain access to the private key for the wallet's address.

This is not the first time that a cryptocurrency company has been hacked this year with Cryptopia being one of many victims in recent months.
