Monthly Misc Roundup

(Edited)

Every once in a while, I do a post that covers, well, lots of little things not worthy of a bigger post. a Roundup of missed misc...!

The camper is looking good. Our first summer there was amazing, and we've still got until Nov 1st, to use it. Still, lots to do and enjoy.

Sometime, beginning week of October, I'll take down that screen porch, and probably the tarp over the car parking spot. Those need to be rolled up and put away for winter.

Above: I'll let the garden play out until it's last leaves drop late October. It's already slowing down fruiting. I suspect, before long I will deal with it...

Above: Raspberries picked this morning, and the two ziplock bags are the batches picked yesterday and the day before. Whatever isn't used, gets frozen for making jelly this fall.
Below: Not much to say, as I am not a subject of the crown.

I've never really been a fan of the Royals...and yet, Elizabeth II Regina has always been impressive to me. She's been a ruling Monarch for more than a quarter of America's existence. been around for Wars, Peace, massive change in society. She's not dainty flower. She's been a truck driver, ambulance driver, mechanic, mother, queen, ruler, head of state, and so much more.

I have loved reading her history, and following her for decades. I read an interesting statistic: Until last Thursday, 9 out of 10 humans on earth have never known another monarch of England. I've met many VIP's, actors, sports stars, captains of industry, heads of state, and more... she's one I have always wished to meet, and yet never did. I'll always regret that.

The world is a better place with her, than without. I will miss her.

Until recently, I've never checked to see how much my morning walk is. While it is flat, there is some value in getting oout and about and getting a walk in daily. One loop around Sea Gull is 1/3 of a mile. Add in Seashore and it is 2/3rds. I will up it to include a second loop and make that part of my daily routine.

Last thing I will say is this: I am not sure what is going on in society today, but family values surely do not count any longer. Now, they've made a man into a Queen. Thankfully, America still cares about family values and a Man can't be a Queen here. (Tongue, firmly implanted in cheek). ...too soon?

Nice round-up, Greg :-) Will you stop going to the camper from November then? Does the park close for winter? You seem to have got a nice little crop from the camper garden this first season 🤗
