Still... Fall fresh Feast

Fall Days With Cooler Days and Even Cooler Nights!

I've been fighting the worst EVER Cold Virus. TWO SOLID WEEKS in bed. I got myself tested for Flu, for the CoVid, and for Strep. All came back negative. my daughter, who kindly brought it back from London, also tested negative, as did my wife. Still, 2 weeks in bed, including some 18 and 20 hour days in bed.

FINALLY, Dr. @dreemsteem recommended an amazing Cough Treatment, for first thing when I wake. I chose to assume she meant each time I wake, from my 85 naps a day. She was taught the remedy by a tall, old country doc, from the middle of one of Billy Joel's songs!

While I am feeling much better, I am still a wicked Old Mansy, so, I still need a few dozen naps a day.

Meanwhile, I found myself making a dinner tonight of Baked Ham, some oven roasted vegetables, and some corn bread muffins.

The Above Vegetables are still mostly from my garden: Orange and Red Carrot, Green, purple, and sweet banana Pepper, The Red Bliss Potato, and some Green Onion, some red beard bunching onion, and a white onion. The only addition from the store, is the celery.

A little 5 lb (2 1/4 kilo) Honey Baked Ham, into the oven for an hour and 15 minutes.

And of course, some special Corn muffin rolls.

we all talked at dinner, and all agreed, so far, we're a week plus into November, and the garden is STILL providing for us. I'll pick the remaining pepper, this week,m any last cucumbers and tomato, and those plants will go into the compost. I'll probably, not positive, but most likely, take the remaining onion out as well. There's no zucchini left, and by the end fo the week, the herbs will come inside, that leaves, only the last 2 containers of Carrot. We shall see!

It's important: If you HAVE EXCESS, give to others... SHARE!
I believe this with my heart.

If I'd been that sick, I think it would be 1-800-SEND·PIZZA for dinner. You were definitely missed at PYPT, but Shadows told us what was going on with you. I hope it passes soon and you are feeling more like your usual, wonderful self! 💜

BE HEALED!!! lol

if I hear that you had a relapse tomorrow - i'll know why

every time you got up to cook dinner - you had a relapse the next day.

so...... 1+1=2 2+2=4.

That honey ham looks terrific I haven't purchased any in A while and reading this post has really tempted me to get A couple when I do my next grocery shop.

Great healthy meal, great post :)

And, the meal lasts... eat ham for dinner, and save some slices for lunches the following few days!

Wow personally I enjoy meat too much, but I think it is cool sometimes I prefer a simple !PIZZA I suppose if healthy foods were more accessible and affordable I would probably attempt to fit it more into my diet lol

I try not to eat TOO MUCH meat.
I do enjoy the home grown Vegetables and Fruit here, though
