Sowing Pepper Seeds

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

We're getting closer to SPRING! Usually, about 8 to 10 weeks before the average LAST frost, I sow my pepper seeds. That's this weekend, for my zone 6b/7a, here in New England. Follow along as I show you my method for sowing Pepper Seeds.

I am planting, Sunbright Yellow Bell, Big Red Bell, Purple Beauty, Golden Cal Wonder, Coral Bell, Sweet Banana Pepper, and Lemon Drop Aji (A medium heat, pepper)

Finally, SOWING SEEDS for GroVid23!

For those who prefer to watch on YouTube:

Follow along as I show you how I sow my Pepper Seeds indoors and get ready for the upcoming spring gardening, season.
Most of you know, I prefer locally grown food. It's healthier for my family, and for the planet. In fact, I prefer to grow my own food. I know what goes into my foods, and what chemicals are NOT in my food. Also, It cuts down on carbon emissions, less trucking to get fresh foods to my table.

And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.

Do you like Peppers? Hot? Sweet? Mild? What do you do wiht your peppers?

I like all types of peppers! We had some bell peppers last year and some sweet peppers plus some jalapeno that I really enjoyed. I wasn't sure we would have enough sunny days for the jalapeno but they did pretty well. I have a few pepper plants sitting indoors. I didn't properly cut them down. But a couple actually kept some leaves and have started some new leaves where they are starting to get sun 🤞

Sweet pepper and 5 kinds of Bell Pepper last year. I have upped to 6 kinds of Bell, and the Sweet Banana, and Lemon Aji (that's the medium hot) this year. I hope to get enough to make a medium zip salsa!

You have a lovely voice :)

Super soothing. Calm... I guess that's all that outside time and having soil in your hands. 👍

You've quite a lot of varieties on of pepper and onions!

And it's so nice that you have them properly labeled. That's what I need to learn to do 'coz when sowing seeds, I tend to not do any labels and when it's time to transplant them, I mix everything up😊

Yeah, when planting out, I really try not to lose track of what is where. Makes it easier when it is time to harvest most things. PLUS, I obsess over making sure I weigh and track my harvests, to make sure next year I am only planting things that are successful

Peppers and me have an interesting battle.

Bell Peppers are a nono as I get wicked indigestion but I do love chilli peppers and use to grow hotties in Spain and when we lived in Florida!

Thank you very much, love your Elvis at the end Blue!

We love chilli peppers in my fam...and the kids love sweet peppers too... I enjoy Thai, Vietnamese food so chillis are never far from the pan hehe. Your seedlings are looking great, Greg! We have a shortage of some veg here at the moment due to poor growing weather in Spain and North Africa - so having control of food supply is becoming more of a reality! Kudos to you x !LUV !PIZZA

that's the MAIN reason I went form growing a couple of plants each summer, to more than a 150 each summer now.
The food shortages of 2020
Pandemic year, got me to start taking care of growing my own
