RE: Will you Brighten my Day?

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

I miss the freezing cold air of childhood winters. I don't know why this longing came over me reading your post... It might have awakened other longings, for summer, to give me some patriotism but no, it made me think of a hard winter. Perhaps because I fear I'll never see another one?
Your post with these wonderful photos brought back many memories and dreams, thank you!

I love thinking about my cheeks burning with heat, but cold to the touch. Winter was such a great time in New England. We would stay out all day and ice skate or go sledding on a big hill. We used a toboggan that would fit four of us, one in the back of the other, and careen down the hill.

Not ever having another hard winter isn't the worse thing, is it? Many Americans move to a warmer climate when they get older just so they won't have to experience a hard winter, ever again. :)

Thank you so much for your kind words and for your friendship! Have a great day!

Always with great pleasure and joy!
Your description is very similar to my childhood winters. Those winters seen by child's eyes never come back but how nice that we can remember them.

You're right, now in old age, it's harder to endure too long and cold a winter. I like a few spells of angry winter but not to last too long. I think I'll have them.

I want to be the first to wish you a beautiful new week!

Thank you! :) It is actually going to be a cool week, maybe even cold! I remember childhood like yessterday! It was so much fun, so carefree, and then I grew up. Boo. :)

But, it beat the alternative. You are probably off to bed. I am off to finish #MarketFriday! So behind.

"So behind" it suits me very well too. Now let me paraphrase you again and say... "as long as it's fun"! Beyond "fun" I feel an addiction, I love being here every day.
