Revitalizing Walk by the Beach
It is a fine Wednesday today! After leaving the office I decided to go for a walk at beach. It's been a while that I haven't been to the beach and the sea. It's something ironic since the beach is just a few meters away from my house. Work and responsibilties as a mom has taken almost all my time that "Me Time" has become so hard to do. So today I really decided to do it. Even a 20 minute walk is good to invigorate my spirit.
Today is also the feast of St Peter and Paul. It's a religious occassion for Catholics here in the Philippines. In our town we celebrate this day by going out to the beach and have a swim in the sea with family or friends. This is also the reason why I decided to have a walk by the beach to observe families and friends having a good time bonding.
The dirt road has narrowed down by the lush of green grasses. It has been raining since June is the start of the rainy season and plants love it. The grasses grown taller since the last time I walked on this road.
When I arrived on the beach, a gentle gush of wind blowed which refreshed my body. Oh how I loved it! Sea breeze can be this therapeutic for me. It took away the tiredness I felt from work.
There wasn't so many people on the beach as I expected it to be. There were a few groups that I saw but they stayed at the shady part of the beach, under the trees. They were chitchatting while enjoying the food and some drinks. I was quite jealous since I couldn't enjoy the day as they did.
I switch my focus to the sea. The rays of the sun reflecting on the sea gave it shine and shimmer like gems. Such a wonderful sight! It's calmness that invited me to go and have a dip was so tempting.
The people on the diving board although my view was a bit far, but still I can feel the enjoyment and happiness they felt as they dive into the sea. The adrenalin was flowing there. Again it made me a litlle jealous.
The coral stones were starting to appear as the sea tide went low. Maybe this was the reason why there were not so many many people on this part of the beach because they do not like to swim on rocky sea bottom.
After a few minutes of walking on the beach, i felt recharged and decided to go home. Along the way a found some interesting things that caught my attention. This years old vine on the side of the road has bloomed so well that it formed into a roof-like structure. It's amazing how nature can add so much beauty to a simple place like ours.
It's great to see children play physical games like basketball in this age of online games on cellphones and computer. Physical plays help them grow healthier physically, mentally and socially. I hope children of today will still go out to play with other kids.
This house was destroyed by Supertyphoon Odette. This was my childhood friend's house and we had beautiful childhood memories here when we would come here to play with them and watch tv. They were the rich neighbors because they had tv. Now I guess they don't need to fix the house since they are living in other place.
An for the finale shot that I took during my walk is this jeep. I love this photo. The jeep seemed to be lost in nature. But i guess it needs to retire and let nature take over. This kind of vehicle is obsolete and can add harm to already injured mother nature.
My walk was a short one but it is a much needed unwinding and recharging of a tired spirit. Nature around us has its way of healing us and revitalizing it.
Thank you for dropping by and next time I hope to have a walk with you.
Sige lag wa kaligo basta kakita gihapon sa dagat, my favorite ever jud ba.. I'm also jealous 😁
Hehehe mao jid det. nigkamot jid kog suroy sa dagat para masuya ka 😅😄😅. btaw det soon let's walk together here
Haha bitaw uyyy, makamingaw.. kutob lang ta ani sana all 😂
What a great way to celebrate the days of St. Peter and St. Paul, in my country Venezuela most people are catholic but we don't celebrate this date with a beach.
I'm glad you got out of the routine and could enjoy the nature that you have at your fingertips.
I am also glad when I see children playing like in my time, free of cell phones and technological games.
Very nice your post thanks for taking me on trips to the Philippines, I needed to travel far away. 🤗🥰 @bluepark
Thank you for dropping by @soyunasantacruz. Indeed St. Peter and Paul 's feast is a great way for us to strengthen our faith and our family bonding. It's a bonus for us that we live on coastal area. I hope you'll be able to visit the Philippines soon.

Great beach photos. I too like the jeep photo but also the lone palm tree 🌴 and the pier with the kids playing on it. Happy #WednesdayWalk
Thank you steven. That is a coconut tree. You'll surely love it more if you can taste its coconut juice. 😄
Nice place to visit, still s large area of land that has not been built. Thank you.
Thank you for dropping by.
I miss the beach! I haven't been since forever. That's terrible about your friend's house. It would have been nice to live there but terrible storms are concerning indeed.
You should visit the beach when you have time. Vitamin sea is good for your health... 😄
I do want to. The nearest is two hours away and this gloomy, wet and cold weather is making me wanting to go even more lol!
Makamingaw man ni nga time nga anha sa dagat magstay almost whole day basta san pedro ug san juan 🤣🤣🤣
