An Unexpected Visitor.

Ellie's traumatic flashback plunged her into a nightmare of Joel's murder before Dina comforted her. Later, Tommy arrived at the farm with a lead on Abby's whereabouts in Santa Barbara. Despite Dina's desperate insistence that their revenge quest is over, Tommy departed, leaving Ellie focused on the map.

At a terrifying moment while trying to guide the young lamb back into the barn, Ellie stumbled and fell to the floor. The shock triggered a vivid flashback, suddenly transporting her away from the farm and into another place entirely.

I started navigating down a dark, ominous staircase toward a heavy door. I quickly realized this was the basement of the lodge where Joel was murdered, with Ellie desperately trying to force the locked door open to save his life.

Ellie was screaming in agony during the nightmare, only to wake up screaming in the real world while clutching baby JJ in her arms. Hearing the commotion, Dina rushed into the room immediately to calm her down and pull her out of the panic attack.

Seeing that the baby was also frightened by Ellie's sudden distress, Dina gently took JJ into her arms. She sat down beside a trembling Ellie on the floor, holding her close to soothe and comfort her through the episode.

The scene shifted to another day, likely the following morning, where Ellie was out in the surrounding forest. She was shown retrieving a wild rabbit she had successfully hunted to provide food for the household.

Walking back toward the homestead with her hunt, Ellie crossed the fence perimeter and noticed a strange horse hitched outside the main house. Realizing the horse did not belong to them, she understood an unexpected visitor had arrived.

Stepping inside the house, Ellie discovered that the visitor was Tommy. Despite his visible physical injuries from the theater confrontation, everyone greeted the old man warmly and expressed relief at seeing him again.

Tommy pulled out a large map, laying out new intelligence on where Abby was currently believed to be hiding. Dina intervened immediately, firmly stating that they were finished with revenge, though Tommy reminded Ellie of her promise back in Jackson to track Abby down.

Furious that Ellie refused to commit on the spot, Tommy stormed out of the house toward his horse. While Dina followed him outside to try and reason with him, Ellie remained inside, unable to tear her gaze away from the map on the table.
