Brutal Seraphite Ambush.

I landed safely on the ground floor before helping Lev through a narrow hole to escape. When a Seraphite ambushed Lev outside, Abby struggled through the opening, and there happened a brutal melee duel. After a relentless struggle involving close-quarters combat, Abby used a broken arrow to eliminate the threat entirely.
I did not mess up at the next try as well, ensuring a safe descent. I landed on the ground floor of the burned building safely to continue our escape.
Then we found this hole that we could use to get out of the place. Abby decided to let Lev go out first, while she would follow right behind him.
The hole was too thin for Abby while she was getting out. Suddenly, she noticed someone started attacking Lev out there in the open, causing her to struggle wildly to get out to help the kid.
Right after getting outside, I attacked that Seraphite using the melee weapon I had on my back, hoping the sudden strike would end the encounter right away.
But it looked like this man had more in him, so he did not go down easily. He started attacking me instead, and after dodging his heavy swings, I attacked him back to regain momentum.
I even used the weapon to rip his cheek open, but he violently pushed me away. It looked like he still survived the horrific wound and kept on pressing forward.
Yeah, that man still had enough fight in him, so I had to be careful with my spacing. But after attacking him more with consecutive strikes, it looked like he was finally going down.
But the man was acting, or probably taking a brief rest from the fight, as he started choking Abby right away. They struggled intensely and even fell down together to a lower ground level.
Well, then after some desperate struggle, Abby broke part of an arrow that was pierced into the chest of that man. She attacked the man right in the neck using it, which made sure the threat was totally gone.
Then Lev climbed down to the lower level and asked me to follow him, as he knew exactly where a boat should be located on our way ahead.

STOPI really thought the first hit with the melee weapon had ended the fight. That Seraphite had way more determination than one can expect.
Every time it looked like Abby had finally won, that guy somehow got back up again. The fight just refused to end. I really liked the photos you captured during the fight.

The moment they both crashed down to the lower level changed the fight. It felt less like a normal battle and more like a fight for survival. 😲
