The Calm Before a War.

After crossing the bridge, we discovered two executed defectors and their final notes. After discussing Yara's motivations with the aquarium visible in the distance, we reached a deserted Seraphite village. Then they observed the cult preparing for the impending WLF invasion.

So after climbing up the bridge, we were not ambushed by any Seraphites, but we found this gruesome scene with two bodies that got brutal death, and they left a letter behind that they wrote as the journal before they got caught, the blood-stained pages detailing their failed attempt to escape the island.

Here I stopped on the way ahead to ask why Yara was helping her, and Yara casually mentioned she doesn't deserve this and that she has to do it anyway, and then we kept moving ahead, their bond tightening despite their conflicting faction histories.

After reaching this site, we could see the Ferris wheel of the aquarium and also the other side of the island that Yara mentions where their elite people live.

I kept following Yara till we reached this village where I found these triangle-shaped houses that look cool, and it looked like there are domestic animals as well, the rustic wooden structures blending seamlessly into the overgrown forest environment.

I noticed this hatchet there that gave me a beautiful capture. And then I picked the weapon up, exchanging it with my melee weapon to ensure I had a fresh, sharp edge for the encounters ahead.

I started checking around the place carefully and found there were some foods getting prepared on a stove. It looked like people left the place in a hurry, with steam still rising faintly from the clay pots left over the open flames.

On our way, we noticed this sculpture of the Seraphites prophet in a tree where Yara prayed. And then we reached this site where we were to look for a height to get inside that house, studying the locked doors and elevated openings.

There was a cart nearby that I had to push toward that open window so we could use it as the extra height we needed to get inside that house, bracing my shoulders against the wooden frame to roll it over the muddy ground.

Right after getting inside there, the ladies noticed the Seraphites in that village were leaving the place in a hurry, taking their kids along and leaving some shooters behind as they were preparing for a war as the WLF also infiltrated the island.

We'll check what happens next in another post.

You climbed all the way up the bridge expecting a massive ambush and instead found a tragic crime scene.

I just loved this photo. Look so peaceful.

Those triangle shaped houses looked very cozy for a place that is about to become a battlefield. I would've stopped to explore every corner too like you.

Seeing the aquarium Ferris wheel from that angle really shows how massive the world feels when you look back. It provided a striking visual anchor for the journey.

The cult was leaving in such a massive hurry they didn't even bother to turn off their stoves or finish cooking. It says war urgency.
