El muro lo sabe

Los ojos en el muro lo saben.
No tiene caso aparentar ignorancia.
No tiene caso pretender olvido.
No tiene caso fingir que no ha pasado nada.

Desde que te fuiste ya nada tiene sentido.
Pensé que romper el espejo sería suficiente
para ya no encontrarte en mi mirada,
para expulsarte de mi reflejo.

Pero detrás están el muro y su mirada invisible,
y el sabe que sin ti soy como él,
solo ladrillos mirando al vacío,
solo el polvo que mantenías unido con tu mirada.

The wall knows

The eyes on the wall know it.
There is no point in pretending ignorance.
There is no point in pretending that we forget.
There's no point in pretending nothing happened.

Since you left, nothing makes sense anymore.
I thought breaking the mirror would be enough
to no longer find you in my gaze,
to expel you from my reflection.

But behind are the wall and its invisible eyes,
and it knows that without you I'm like it,
just bricks staring into space
only the dust that you held together with your gaze.
