Hello loyal friends of the CCH community. How are you? May good things always be with you. On this occasion, I would like to share some photography of a fruit characterized by its piercing smell and sharp taste. This fruit is often referred to in my area as Durian or by its scientific name Durio zibethinus. I took these photos when I was at the Durian farm and wanted to taste it in my spare time and enjoy nature. I tried to capture some of the fruit with my smart phone camera.

Durio is the name of the durian genus it belongs to the family Malvaceae, a subtribe of Helicteroideae. Of the approximately 27-30 species in this genus, nine species are known to produce edible fruit. However, there are still many species whose fruits have not been collected or are not well known and it is possible to find other species whose fruits may be edible.

Durian is often processed into ingredients for traditional pastries, such as gelamai or jenang. Sometimes, durian is mixed in pulut (sticky rice) dishes along with coconut milk. In today's world, durian (or its aroma) is commonly mixed in candies, ice cream, milk, and various other types of refreshing drinks.

The seeds can be eaten as a snack after boiling or roasting, or mixed in durian compote. Unripe durian seeds are poisonous and inedible as they contain the fatty acid cyclopropene. Durian seeds contain about 27% amylose. Young leaf buds (shoots), flower crowns, and fruits can be cooked as vegetables.

Each 100 g salted seed contains 67 g water, 28.3 g carbohydrate, 2.5 g fat, 2.5 g protein, 1.4 g fiber; and has an energy value of 520 kJ. Durian also contains a lot of vitamin B1, vitamin B2, and vitamin C; as well as potassium, calcium and phosphorus.

With a wide range of minerals and vitamins, this fruit can support the body's overall health. Some of the benefits of consuming this fruit are preventing cancerous abnormal cell changes, preventing premature aging, overcoming sexual dysfunction, improving skin health, preventing depression, overcoming insomnia, preventing anemia, regulating blood pressure, preventing diabetes, preventing heart disease, maintaining bone health, preventing pain, improving digestive health and so on.

I hope it's useful and you like it. Thank you for everything. May we always be together here, helping each other to achieve success. Good luck to all of you.
