Human rescues dog, dog rescues human
One day, Brian Myers had shown up at the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge in New Jersey in the US. A half hour he had decided that the dog he would be going home with would be a German shepherd named Sadie. The shelter had a problem placing Sadie because she was a nervous dog who seemed to have an issue with men.
None of that seemed to be an issue as she and her new human seemed to get along just fine. Several month later, however, Myers had a sudden stroke. Sadie came to his aid, kept him conscious by licking his face, made noise to attract attention, dragged Myers to his phone thus enabling him to call for help. That very possibly saved his life.
She had to stay with Myers' family while he was treated at the hospital and going through rehabilitation. The video above shows his reunion with Sadie once he was finally able to see her.
I had a similar experience when I came out after a few days in a hospital following a massive abscess due to peritonitis in 2008. She was always very loyal and loving.
