Judicial Watch has sued for, and acquired, the memo detailing the reasons Justice Department believed made it unreasonable to charge Lt. Michale Byrd of the Capitol Police force for fatally shooting Ashli Babbit, an unarmed female protester, during the J6 riot. The memo claims the Department believed it impossible to prove beyond a reasonable that Lt Byrd violated Ms Bennet's rights by firing at her as she tried to climb through a broken glass window in a door into an empty hallway. The Department claims it was reasonable to imagine Lt Byrd believe he was protecting himself or others and had no other course of action available to him - even though Babbit was unarmed, there was no one on Byrd's side of the door in the immediate vicinity of him, there were two police officers who were in the line of fire as he fired on the other side of the door and they did not stop Babbit as likely they did not see her behaviour as reason to use force. To be brief for now: I fully believe the Department is just using these pronouncements as an excuse not to prosecute an obvious crime.

Read the memo, watch the video of the event (both attached below). As usual, don't take my word for anything and draw your own conclusions.

This kind of killing a protestor happens everywhere in the world, especially during an unrest and killer police or pro-goverment supporter is not punished fair enough.
