Leftist mainstream media types did not always hate Donald Trump

If you were to listen to anybody in the mainstream media who is on the left politically in the US - and in much of the Western world today - you are unlikely to hear anything positive about Donald Trump. Yet this was not always the case.

Linked below (courtesy the Charlie Kirk Show) is an excerpt of Trump's appearance on The View which is a fairly leftist TV show typically supportive of NYC liberal political trends and preferences. The date is not displayed in the recording but from the dialog it is clear that it was recorded after the Obamacare law was passed in 2010 and before Trump was elected President in 2016. It is interesting how Trump was already announcing his political action items in case he were to become President one day - and they included the whole scope of what would later become known as the "MAGA platform" - American economic independence, return of manufacturing to the US, etc. Yet Trump is still warmly received - and the fact that he was invited at all speaks volumes when viewed through the prism of vitriol he is subjected to by shows like The View today.

Watch for yourself. And ask yourself, what has changed? Could it be that the outrage against Trump is largely not a product of a general moral or ethical rejection but rather matter of political establishment trying to use any and all available means to suppress an actor hostile to that establishment?

I recall a line by Floyd Mayweather, who apparently was friend with DJT and Mayweather said in an interview that "nobody called that man racist until he was running for President."

Who knows what dictates politics but man oh man did a lot of people tow the line with this one!

"nobody called that man racist until he was running for President."

Exactly right!

He also became a serial sexual assaulter right about at the same time.
