RE: Why #ProjectBlank Is Going To Be A Huge Success

One thing that I am also really excited about which was mentioned recently is that there won't be any rewards on posts shown on the interface. You will just be able to go to your wallet and see that your funds have increased, but you won't see the rewards on each post or comment. This sounds huge to me. There is a large perversion of incentive when rewards are involved - people participate for the rewards, not for the connection, and oftentimes there is no connection at all (nobody reads the posts, nobody engages with comments, activity is happening just robotically for the rewards). Whereas on other social media platforms they participate purely for the connection. If hiding the post rewards can put people's attention back on the connection, and the financial rewards are the cherry on top rather than the main focus, I wonder what that would do for participation and engagement.

I had not heard that but it is an interesting approach. We will see how the application looks when it roles out.

Ultimately, utilizing this application for the rewards should be secondary. This is the first one that we might see where one can actually own the account and data that is common to a Web 2.0 application.
