DRIVING AROUND IN THE WINTER OF 2007

Photographs preserve memories, they say.

I don't know. Most of my old shots show places that have little or nothing to do with what I remember.

They are more like someone else memories accidentally stored on my hard drive. Could be because I'm not the same dude that I was in the late two-thousands. I don't look the same, that's for sure.

Hehehe, I'm still recognizable, but it takes more to be exactly the same. I have some interests and habits that haven't changed, though. I always liked and still like to drive up and down & all around this peninsula on which I live, ad example.

I usually go on short trips that can be done in one morning or an afternoon.

About a hundred kilometers or a little bit more from my hometown is usually a maximum.

It could be called micro-traveling or something like that.

So this could be defined as micro-blogging about micro-traveling.

That's all I guess. I think I said everything or even a bit more than I expected.

These photographs were laying inactive for more than a decade, scattered in a couple of old folders. They were taken on various occasions during the winter of 2007. The places shown in the pictures are vaguely familiar but besides the church tower in the city of Pazin, I can't tell you where exactly they are. I mean this is definitively Istra, the peninsula in the northern Adriatic and the region in which I live. Only one photograph was taken somewhere on the coast, the others show inland places, probably in the northern part of Istra.
