SOME WEIRD AVATARS FOR LADIES AND GIRLS
I tokenize some artwork from time to time, in this cool place called NFT Showroom. This quick post is practically an advert for my latest NFTs and a reminder that the art is always flowing there. There is always something cool to buy or just see. I thought: Hm, maybe some people here aren't even aware of the Showroom's existence, so let's make a quick post about it.
Lately, I'm drawing these small portraits in a circular frame, ideal for online avatars. I made only two for now, and those two were drawn a couple of years ago, with no blockchain blogging or NFT in mind. But now I'm imagining and creating more of them, to get a series of trippy avatars that could be fun to collect. These first two are kind of gothic and hypnotic, slightly creepy, but I'll make some brighter faces as well. Or at least I'll try to do so. :D Darker things come more spontaneously to me.
The NFT avatars are static, but for this post, I animated two GIFs to give a bit of life to the whole thing and make this advert more attractive.

Unfortunately, they are not, but I know that it is not easy to be a member here, otherwise it can be a work of art that everyone can visualize in their own imagination.
Cool Avatars. They have a cyber punk like vibe to them - to me. Very cool creations.
Nice Dune reference by the way. Have you seen and did you like the movie?
Haven't seen the latest Dune movie. Only about a week ago heard that there is a brand new version. Saw the old David Lynch version, and some TV miniseries in the early 00s or a decade later, don't remember exactly. I liked the David Lynch visuals and some moments, but the entire story didn't feel right. Very rushed at some points. I don't know, I like that movie ... but not like some great, definitive version. The series wasn't visually so interesting, there was plenty of not-so-great CGI and kind of cheap TV production moments, but it was longer and the narrative was more clear and enjoyable.
:D Maybe this last one is perfect because of the third-time lucky rule. I don't know how the new movie looks, didn't saw the trailer, have no idea about it.
I never watched the old version of the movie because it looked way too cheesy to me - tacky really. The new movie came out this year, in some countries. I thought that it was quite good overall. It followed very closely to the book and they made book one into 3 parts, so given that the book really wasn't that long, that kind of tells you the level of detail put in. They are going slow, not rushing through the story. Normally I would say that they are just milking it for more money but in this case I didn't feel that way at all. To do the world and the culture of Dune justice it has to be told slow and in full detail. That's my opinion on it. It's worth a watch if you're able to find it.
Cool. I will surely watch it one day. Good science fiction is relatively rare in the movies.
