The Sun's Out To Play!

The sun is out! Finally... The temperature is not yet what it should be, but I have good hopes that too will improve! The biggest issue (for me, at the moment) is the wind. There's still a lot of wind most of the days, making it quite dangerous to fly the drone, especially in tree-loaded areas like these!
But once in a while, during my morning walk, there's no wind yet, and it's safe to throw the drone in the air. And when those mornings also include some sunlight, well, we get some very nice and moody results!
One of the most beautiful things on this planet, seeing the sun rise (or lower...) above the natural landscape! One of the gifts life gives us over and over again. Enjoy it as often as you can! I know I'm trying to!

As for the droneheads among us, this was shot using my Mini 3 Pro. Why? Because that was the one I had with me :-)
I noticed that the last few months, due to the unpredictable weather, and the high quality of the Mini 3 Pro, I rarely bring my Air2s anymore.
The Mini 3 Pro is small enough to put it in my pocket, or my regular bag. I don't need to carry yet another bag, as I do need to do to take the Air2s with me. And I hate taking two bags with me, only to come to the conclusion that the weather is too bad to fly the Air2s.
Will I never use the Air2s anymore? Yes I will still use it, whenever I know for sure that the weather is ok, and I'm going somewhere with the intention to fly. But less and less on an ad hoc basis. And in that sense, I am considering buying a Mavic 3 in the near future. It's just as usable as the Air2s, but has way better image quality. The price on the other hand is of course another issue. And in that respect, I'm also still doubting about the version of the Mavic 3 to buy. All input welcome ;-)

Nice to see the wordcount up in addition to the great photos :)
The full size Mavic 3 does a fantastic job in the wind. If it's gusty, you have to be careful not to get too close to objects that could impact before it has time to auto-correct before hitting them.

With a top speed of 47 mph (68KMh) in sport mode, I've flown it effortlessly in 25 and 30 mph winds. Don't know I'd go much higher than that, but I'm a pretty cautious flyer. I don't want to break my baby!

Yes, the M3 choices are getting harder. I'd love that new version with the built in thermal, but not likely this year.

Thanks for the advice! ;-)
Same here, a cautious flyer, so wouldn't risk it either, and currently the winds are around 25-30mph. But I do have places around me with little to no obstacles (farmfields), so that's a good thing.
About the choices, in would go for the cheapes option on one hand, not sure if I would use all the camera's, or the thermal for instance. On the other hand, it might be that I'd start using them frequently once I have them at my disposal...
I guess a lot of reading and youtube watching is coming up ;-)
