What is size variation? What makes Munchkin XS?

Since the release of Pokemon GO, Trainers have been able to encounter Pokemon of different sizes, and this feature has carried over to some of the main series titles.

In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, players can see size variations visible between the Pokemon finally. And in the newest generation game Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, we see size variations on the overworld and in battle again.

Now, let's talk about Munchkin, my adorable Fidough companion. You may have noticed that Munchkin is an XS, or Extra Small, Fidough. This means that it's smaller than most other Fidough you'll encounter in the wild. But don't let its size fool you; Munchkin has a big heart and packs a powerful punch in battle.

As the Pokedex tells us, a Pokemon's size is determined when caught or hatched and cannot be changed. So, while Munchkin may always be on the smaller side, it's the perfect size for me to carry around on my adventures and show off to my fellow trainers.

Bad Moment for Munchkin on this adventure

Munchkin and I encountered a Shiny Oranguru while wandering around the Paldea Region. This Pokemon was lurking in the bamboo and would be the first Shiny Pokemon we captured together. I utilized a weak Tackle to chip away at the Shiny Oranguru's HP while attempting to catch it. Because it is the slower Pokemon, the Oranguru utilizes Trick Room to strike first. I want to use another Tackle to reduce its health further, but Oranguru utilizes Instruct, forcing my Pokemon Munchkin to strike it twice with Tackle.

What is the next mission for the PTR?

Every day, I make it a priority to gather enough resources like Money, Treasure, and Pokeballs to support my ongoing Pokemon training and modification efforts. I achieve this through a variety of methods, including battling, trading, and coordinating raids with other trainers on the @boycharliefamily Discord Pokemon channels.

In the next report, I am excited to introduce a new crop of Pokemon that I have been breeding, including the powerful and versatile Lucario. So, stay tuned to see how my latest breeding experiments have turned out and what new strategies and techniques I have developed along the way.

Thank you for joining me on this Pokemon Training Report! As we continue our journey through the Paldea Region, there will undoubtedly be more exciting adventures and challenges ahead.
