Bozz Family Fantasy Football Week 10: A Glimmer of Hope

Fantasy Football (1).png

As @mrsbozz continues her losing streak, I had a stroke of fortune this past weekend when I went up against my nephew. Unfortunately, he has been busy or just not paying attention, because he neglected to make some moves with his team that ended up costing him the week.

I honestly don't know if I would have won if he hadn't dropped the ball.

With the win, I move to 4 - 6 on the season. I really don't care how I do. I just hope my wife can turn things around and end up finishing strong. She really deserves it as far as I am concerned. This four game losing streak has moved her all the way down to 8th place which is just above me at 9th place.

She had such a strong start to the season. I really feel bad for her. I wish I hadn't beat her the other weekend when we played each other.

As you can see, it was a pretty lopsided win for me this past weekend. It will make more sense when we get into the actual line up. I will spare you all the commentary and just get right to that. It's funny though because my nephew actually does know a lot about football and he talks a lot of smack, so it is interesting to see him doing so poorly.

As you can see, he played Garoppolo and he wasn't even in the line up, so he gave him zero points in that position. Like wise, his flex position didn't play and his wide receiver only gave him .9 points. On top of that, he had a player that was on bye in his lineup.

For me, this feels like more of a lucky win than anything else. I don't think I would have stood a chance otherwise.

On my side of things, Jackson still continues to struggle compared to where he started in the season. Moore could have done more (forgive the pun), and Pittman was a bit of a disappointment too. I'm not mad at Wilson, Kamara, or White. Those are decent numbers if not stellar and I know they played pretty hard.

The rest of my team I am pretty happy with. I'd like to see my defense do better, but what more can you really ask from Atlanta?

The bench is where things really come to light. You can see that my nephew had almost 60 points sitting on the bench. Points that could have made the difference between beating me or not. I think I should point out that he has two quarter backs on his bench and he only would have been able to play one of them, so he likely still would have lost.

I need to start turning my attention to Goff instead of Jackson. With the playoffs on the line, it might be time to make a change with my quarterback. Other than that, my bench was pretty much worthless!

I have a tough match up against my brother in law this week and I am not sure how it is going to pan out. I don't really feel like I can rely on my players to get the job done. I guess we will have to see.

Check back to find out how it turned out!
