NFL Week 8 Recap: There's one thing you can count on...

A lot of people tend to find solace in the fact that there are some things you can always count on. Even when the world is turning upside down, there are a couple of steadfast truths that never let you down. Living in Michigan, none of those inevitable's ring more true than the fact that The Lions will lose.

After this past weekend they fall to something like 1 and 6 on the season and you can't help but wonder how much lower than can go from here. I feel like in the past five years they haven't even won ten games total. It is an embarrassment.

My neighbor texted me on Sunday and asked if I could sign for a package that he had coming because he and his wife were at the Lions game. I obliged of course and I told him to enjoy the game. Knowing full well, it was likely going to be another let down. Of course alcohol covers a multitude of disappointments, so maybe they still had a good time despite the loss...

I'm not really sure if this is going to change anything, but the Lions fired their defensive coach the other day. Given the fact that they have given up the most points of any team in the league, it might be a good start!

You know I will be covering this more tomorrow since Brady is my fantasy quarterback, but Tampa Bay continues to suck. It almost would have been better if Brady had just went out on a good note and stayed retired. This is a really bad look for him.

The Broncos beat Jacksonville 21 to 17, and The Falcons beat the Panthers in overtime 37 to 34.

As I mentioned, the Lions lost to Miami 27 to 31 and The Cowboys thumped on Chicago 49 to 29.

The Saints held Las Vegas scoreless which is kind of a joke in professional football. I can't really talk though, The Lions had a scoreless game earlier this season.

I'm a little disappointed in the Jets letting the Patriots beat them 22 to 17 like that. They were kind of on a roll. Hopefully this is just a small hiccup for them.

The Eagles continue to look great too. They beat the Steelers 35 to 13 which has to have a lot of people in Pennsylvania feeling mixed emotions right now.

The Commanders continue a season of mediocrity only beating the Colts by one point 17 to 16. The 49ers continued their dominance of The Rams, and Buffalo continues their winning ways this season. Finally, that interstate rivalry in Ohio ended up with a Browns win over the Bengals in pretty grand fashion, 32 to 13.

Who would have guessed that the Eagles would be the only team in the league that was still undefeated by this point in the season. The Lions are tied with Houston as the only teams in the league with one win.

It was only a matter of time before we would sink to the bottom...

The Eagles are only 7-0 because they haven't played a real team yet. The Vikings in week 2 was their last real game.. they'll lose first playoff game they're in

I wouldn't argue with that. That whole division is pretty weak this year. It should be an AFC steamroll come the Superbowl. That's my opinion anyway.
