Sports Betting With Bozz: Changing my approach

As you can see, I decided to make new banner for this weekly post that I have been doing. I can't say as though I am really happy with it right now. I kind of don't feel like it "pops" enough. I might have to fix it when I get some more time.
Things have been pretty crazy this past week. I covered a lot of that in my other posts on my main account if you want to check them out at @bozz.
I mentioned before that I was going to try and cut back on the amount of bets that I have been doing each weekend. It felt like I was just bleeding money and I needed to get my house in check otherwise this was going to be a fairly short-lived series!
While I didn't have a ton of luck with my bets this past weekend, I did have some luck with not placing as many of them. Who says I don't have any self control!

As you can see, I only placed one bet this past weekend from my DraftKings account. It was a single game parlay for some legs in the Seattle/Tampa Bay game. Only one of them hit, so I was really out of luck on this one.
As I have said in the past, this is the account that I have the least amount of money in, so I need to be very careful with it. I know at least one bet that I should have made this week that would have likely paid me out quite well, but I didn't do it.
Hindsight is 20/20 as they say...

Fan Duel didn't give me any love either. As you can see, I placed three bets this past weekend and none of them paid out for me. I honestly wasn't even close in any of them if you look at the breakdown. Very sad.
I am pretty happy with this new plan to place fewer bets each week. I think that is going to give me a bit more longevity with my funds. I hope so anyway. I also think that I am going to start betting more on college basketball now that it has started.
There are some good betting lines that I have never explored in the past. In the past for college basketball I pretty much just bet on the overall outcome of a game. Did this team beat that team? I want to start digging into some of those "half" based bets or the total combined score bets. Those might work out a bit better for me.
It also keeps me away from the parlays which don't seem to be my friend lately. That isn't to say I am giving up parlays totally, but I am going to try and be a bit more cautious.
We will see how that goes.
Meanwhile, it is Thursday night football tonight, so I better see if I have any bets I want to place!
