Sports Betting with Bozz: Super Superbowl

Sports Betting.png

Needless to say it was a very good week for me in terms of betting. The Superbowl was my virtual bread and butter giving me a couple of really great wins. I'm quite happy with how things turned out.

Besides the Superbowl, I did some soccer betting this past week as well as some basketball betting. Soccer was a bit of a split for me, and the basketball bets were a bit of a let down.

As you can see, my crypto bets on Sport Bet One are rolling right along once again thanks to @fullcoverbetting. In his defense, the one parlay bet that I lost there I think was something that I placed from my Pickswise site. The one above that won me a cool 5 EOS was a parlay that he threw together just the other day.

He is quite clear that he is no expert and you should not follow his bets, but he has done pretty well for me so far and it's still better than I could do on my own!

He posted some bets this morning that you should check out. I will be following a couple of them as soon as I finish this post!

I mentioned a while ago that I have been trying to build my Draft Kings account back up. I think it was up to $50 or $70 at one point and now it has fallen down to the $35 range. I'd like to see it back up over $50 at least, but of course the sky is the limit.

I used Pickswise and tried to place some parlay bets on various sport. The one you can see here is all college basketball. K-State and Clemson let me down. Not much else to say about that. The $6 win would have been nice, but oh well.

On this second parlay bet, you can see that I branched out a little bit and put in some bets on hockey games. Again, these were three of the recommended bets by Pickswise. Two of them hit just fine, the other one didn't. Funny because if you look at the odds, that is the one that was supposed to be most likely to hit.

I guess it just goes to show you how unpredictable sports can be.

Just like real life, the best way to make money in sports betting is to own a sports book. I need to try and do some more hockey betting in the future. I used to be a really big hockey fan, but I actually haven't watched a game in years. Fun fact, I think there was a Detroit Redwings game on in the background when I proposed to @mrsbozz. I could be remember wrong though!

As you can see, Fan Duel was a bit kinder to me this past weekend. If you read my posts from this account, you might remember I was talking about the Butler/Xavier game that was taking place on Friday night. As I stated, Butler was the home team and I thought they had a really good chance of upsetting Xavier.

I put my money where my mouth is and placed a $1 bet for Butler to take the victory. As you can see, they did and that $1 bet won me a massive $3.40. Impressive right? It was actually a really good game and while Butler had a huge lead early, they only edged past Xavier by one or two points.

Meanwhile, you can see I also placed a bet on the Superbowl. For as high as the score was and the fact that Mahomes only left the game briefly and the end of the second quarter due to his injury, I would have expected that passing leg to hit. Unfortunately, it didn't and I lost $1 on what could have been a $7.50 gain. If I remember right Mahomes was about forty to fifty yards shy of the goal on that one.

The good news is, that isn't the only bet I placed on the Superbowl and as you can see, the one above hit. I did a parlay inside of Fan Duel that I think I pulled from Pickswise. I ended up winning $5.73 on a $1 bet. It was a good win for me. I am pretty happy about how that worked out. Since I didn't stay up to watch the full game, it wasn't until I woke up the next morning that I realized I had won.

Finally, as cool as it would have been to win some Hive on @summertooth's Superbowl board, I did win on my brother in law's office board. The squares were $5 a piece and I bought four of them for a total investment of $20 USD. I was going to share all my numbers with you, but I won't bore you. The long and short of it is, I had KC 8 and Philly 5, so the final score of 38 to 35 in the Chiefs favor netted me a cool $125 USD.

I plan on keeping that money in my Venmo account for something really special down the road. My mother and father in law also won on one of his squares and they got their own $125 windfall.

It was a good weekend for the whole family!
